"I wish all contracting/service companies were as professional, courteous, and accommodating as Chris Henderson @ Southern Blue Lawn and Landscaping. In addition to excellent customer service and advice, Chris and his crew were always prompt (a rarity these days), receptive to any concerns or questions I had, and offered recommendations to make my landscape more attractive. Chris also provided me pricing that was extremely competitive for the work accomplished and ensured that I was completely satisfied before finishing the project."

"Everything about this job was professionally done. From timely arrival for quote, to performance of the job as promised. The job was done on time, with proper cleanup and fencing put back in place. They performed the job carefully and safely, working with my neighbor to move his fencing from the work area and to put it back when done. As well as working to prevent damage to my yard. They removed a troublesome 45 ft Pine tree with 4 homes within 30 ft, and hauled it way at a great price! Highly recommend Vasquez Landscaping! I'll be hiring them again for another job I need done early next year."

"The Marlowe crew did a beautiful job on our patio extension and fire pit. They stayed in touch with us on every detail and made sure that our expectations were met. We made a change or two after the project was underway and Jake and his crew were very accommodating. These guys showed up on time, were courteous and kept our yard as neat as possible while they were working. We will consider Marlowe’s We Care Company for future improvements to our home. Landscaping questions, answered by experts

Common features in lakefront landscaping projects include native and water-tolerant plants, stone paths, docks or piers, seating areas, and erosion control solutions to create a harmonious integration with the waterfront setting.

During the fall, you’re likely to see foliage in stunning shades of orange, red, yellow, and brown. These colors emerge because of a seasonal decline in the pigment chlorophyll that makes leaves green.

Plant a peach tree right at the end of your local dormancy period, likely at the very end of winter after the last frost when you can dig into the soft soil. Plan your backyard gardening season, including when planting peach trees, based on the frost schedule predicted in your local hardiness zone.

How much 4 yards of dirt will cover depends on how deep you want the soil to be. In general, a yard of dirt will cover 324 square feet for a 1-inch depth or 100 square feet for a 3-inch depth. Therefore, you can expect 4 yards to cover between 400 and 1,296 square feet if you keep your soil depth between 1 and 3 inches.

Grass is the most popular and safest option for planting over a septic drain field, but you can also plant small flowering plants and other lightweight plants that don’t have woody or deep roots. Avoid trees and bushes within 10 feet of the field, as the woody roots can crack the perforated pipes. You should also avoid planting vegetable or fruit gardens over your drain field, as a leak from the pipes could contaminate the soil and put anyone who eats the produce at risk.
