"We hired DMV Kitchen and Bath for a major kitchen and sunroom remodel, and the before-and-after transformation is incredible. Our old kitchen was narrow, dark, and closed off from the rest of the house. It is now bright, open, functional, and beautiful, with blue cabinetry, quartz countertops and backsplash, a large island, updated lighting, new appliances, and much better flow. One of the most impressive parts of the project was what they did with the original brick arches. Before the remodel, the arches were only visible from the sunroom side; the other side had been covered up. They preserved the arches and exposed them from both sides, turning them into a true architectural feature of the home. "We wanted to install a tiled kitchen backsplash to protect the wall near the stove from splatters but also to improve the appearance of the kitchen. We picked a tile from Floor and Decor and set out to find a contractor. The first contractor, highly recommended on Angi, came in and proposed an installation that would have cost over $6,000. That struck us as much too high. We then approached JW, which had done work for us in the past, and got an estimate that struck us as reasonable. But to get their top tile installer, Cesar Miranda, we had to wait nearly two months. We decided to wait and are glad we did. When he arrived, he brought three different grout and gave us our choice. He then did an outstanding installation."

"Brought these guys in when the job was half finished by a relative who had been at it for 3 1/2 months.  The estimate was that it would take four days - it did.  They came when they said they would and cleaned up after themselves each day.  They pointed out imperfections in the wall that would need to be fixed before they could do the job properly.  Other tilers had missed this detail.  All that is left is for the glass enclosurre to be installed and they recommended the right people for that as well.  They are great to work with, exhibit integrity and character, and the results will not disappoint you.  What's not to love!

"To begin, I want to say that my wife and I were extremely satisfied with the results of the work VKB did for us. Here are a few reasons why: 1. We initially met with our designer, Mr. Junior Wizart and his associate Sharon, to discuss the work we wanted done. Junior visited our home and walked thru and listened to what we wanted. He provided several suggestions and left to formulate their proposal. We met again the following week and Junior and Sharon walked us thru their design proposal which we were very happy with. We made a down payment and 2. Over the following several weeks, we interacted regularly with Junior and Sharon regarding the details of and the selections for each bathroom. We made a down payment on the May 28, 2019 and signed the contract on 5 June which started the ball rolling. 3. Over the next few weeks we made detailed selections for showers, faucets, floors walls, paint, etc. In some cases, our detailed selections exceeded the budget that was allowed in our signed contract, so a mod was required and adjustments made. All the changes were very easy to implement, and were completed quickly. 4. We had a walk thru in early Jul with the Project Manger, Mr. Jason Freeman, and Mr. Wizart to confirm all selections and installation plans. It was quite thorough and painless. 5. Work began on 7 Jul promptly and the Team Lead, Walter, and his team began the demo. We have an electronic door lock and gave the team their own code for the duration of the project. For 95% of the project, they worked without our oversight. They began after we left for work, and would remain on site until one of us returned from work to show us the results of the day. 6. Every day until the job was completed on August 14, the VKB crew was here working. They were very professional and very thorough. They alerted us when they needed decisions made (height of shower head, placement of body washers, etc. They also asked if they could work on a Saturday to maintain their schedule. 7. Almost every day Jason, our project manager, checked it to see if all was going well and if we had any issues. We had to make several minor adjustments to the design plan, and when we did, it was completed painlessly. The team kept the walkway into the house covered and cleaned up daily. Trash was picked up regularly and there was no need to a dumpster. 8. We were so happy with the performance of the bathroom work, that we hired VKB to renovate our kitchen backsplash. Junior helped pick out the colors and style of tile, and Jason's team did the installation in two days. 9. The entire 3.5 bath renovation work was completed and the final payment made on August 14th. We we so pleased with the work VKB performed for us that we hired them to renovate our basement that was damaged severely due to a failed sump pump and the resulting water backup."

"First Impressions did a lot of work around our hours a few years ago (see previous review).  This spring as I was cleaning up around our patio I noticed that several of the brick caps on our knee wall had come loose so I called them to let them know and was told I should leave a message for Mike Walters.  Mike called me back within the hour and asked me to take some pictures and send them to him, which I did.  The next morning I was surprised when Mike called me back and said they would have a crew out that afternoon to make the necessary repairs.  To top it off he said that while there wasn't a warranty still in place that the caps should not have come loose in that time frame so there would be no charge for the repairs.  It is nice to see a company that does what is right versus hiding behind the legal gobbledygook and red tape.
Also, while his crew was at my house they noticed that a crack had formed in a cement wall so they took a few minutes and filled it in.  I did not ask them to do this but they did it on their own and made it look much better.
I would recommend anyone doing any brickwork, patio work, hardscaping, etc... to give First Impressions a strong look.  Not only do they do great work but they stand behind their work, with or without a warranty.
