"Ray came out (showing up on time) the day after I called for an appointment. He quickly saw that the pump had cracked thanks to some debris in the tank. He had brought a replacement with him just in case and he was able to install it right away. He also set up the new pump in a way that it was elevated so it would be less likely to be impacted by debris in the future."

"They came out to measure and look at the surface of the tub and the tile first then provided me with the price and contract.  I scheduled the appt at at point with someone in the ofiice. "From start to finish, William Rorer was incredibly professional, punctual, and responsive to my needs. He returned my initial phone call the same day and set a time to come to my home for an estimate the very next day. After discussing the work, he was able to fit me into his schedule with short notice since I had only a small window of opportunity in which I was available for the work to be done. He even came over to start the work on the Labor Day holiday. He is very professional and knowledgeable! The work was completed on two different days in order to allow the tile glue to set before he grouted. He completed the work and left the area clean. He does very quality work. I discussed various other projects with him which indicated to me he has a vast knowledge and experience with home improvement contract work. I would trust him to do many other projects in my home and am very confident of his knowledge and experience. I will be calling him again!

PLEASE READ all OF THE DETAILS CAREFULLY. Angieslist voucher plus $40. ASK ABOUT CARPET PROTECTION(the carpet has cell and the cell are open after cleaning, protection fill the cell and doesn't allow permanent stains). The voucher can not be substituted for other services. Your voucher is worth 350 sq. ft. no matter the condition(example heavily soiled) of residential wall to wall tacked down carpet or $200 subtracted from the total, steps are not included steps are $3 each lightly soil or $5 each heavily soil, one voucher per job, does not included soil filtration(black around the edges), ink stain removal is not included, paint stain removal are not included, red stains removal is not included, does not included water damage clean-up, does not include pet stain (like for example pet urine stain), does not include heavy odors (like for example pet body odor, pet, cat or snake urine etc.), if you miss your appointment a $20 applied, we broke a candy dish recently from moving furniture so we will not be moving furniture anymore, oriental or area rugs are not included $2 per square foot in home cleaning, please confirm this is the correct address, please have the carpets vacuumed, light furniture moving only, if this an apartment we charge $20 to put the equipment up one flight of steps or using elevator, two flight of steps $30 and so one, the equipment is heavy, Air mover fans can be rent for $25 allowing your carpet to dry quickly, parking is your responsibility you are required to provide parking and please have a printed copy of the voucher. I called for clarification, he answered and said "it's in the second line"  I asked once more because I didn't understand what I read and he just kept saying " you read the second line"  That made me feel stupid so I said " OK  thank you".
The punctuality and work was good but the communication was the worst Iv'e seen in a long time.  
The reason I said no to using him again is because of this review.  After saying anything negative again I wouldn't want  him back in my house. 
I am a contractor on Angie's List too and if someone ask me about a small basic job I quote it verbally or send a personalized quote if needed.  That is just crazy to send me a blanket letter of prices and when I called to ask about it he just kept saying  "look at the email...   look at the email"

"We had Nafi come in to give a price on refinishing some oak flooring and replacing some carpet with similar flooring. He is very charismatic and indicated that it would be cheaper just to pull everything up and install new. We had had a tree fall which destroyed a deck attached to our bedroom which we never use. There is a sliding glass door which led out to the deck. Nafi suggested removing the door and replacing with a window which would open up livable space in the room. He said he could do the framing with the rest of the job. We live in Reston and they are very particular about things and I told him numerous times that the trim on the outside had to match the other windows. He told us he had a source for surplus hickory flooring and gave us a budgetary price for the work of $10k. He came back a week or so later with some samples to show us. He indicated that the surplus flooring he had proposed did not come with a guarantee and thus he wouldn't install it. As a result the formal price for the floor with the window framing was about $12k, a 20% increase. We had done a bit of shopping around, and this was still a fair price, so we accepted. At the appointed time, Nafi and his crew showed up, and on the first day they did the demo, most of the framing work and a bit of the floor installation. On the second day, they finished the floor. He indicated that he would come back to finish the window work. He wanted all but $600 of the remainder of the money. We paid him, which turned out to be a mistake. After that he basically refused to come out and finish the window trim, which had to be completed before the window was installed. My son and I installed the trim a couple of days before the window was available for installation. There is one piece of shoe moulding that was missed in the original install and several small pieces were split when they were nailed and have come loose. I've asked Nafi for a stick of shoe a half dozen times to no avail. So, they do good work, when you can get them there. Don't even think about paying them until you are certain the job is completed."
