"I was selling my house and the inspector found the fan was venting into the attic.  I needed to have a professional  vent it to the outside..  The HVAC tech  was on time, diagnosed the problem  immediately and had it vented to the outside soffit in a less than half an hour.  it looks good, not noticeable and now I meet code. I thought the price was a bit high. I have a one story ranch and all he had to do was cut a hole in the soffit, reach in and pull down the vent.
