"ProSeal was responsive arrived on time for the estimate was very professional and left me with a written estimate before they left. I was very impressed with every aspect of the interaction but there price was significantly higher. They did leave me with a price quote to seal my existing driveway and I plan on using them for that service which was competitive."

"From my first encounter with Morrison paving I must say that I was impressed with their knowledge and how they communicated with me (not rushing me to make a decision on getting the work done just what needed to be done in order for the job to be done right the 1st time they educated me on the process.) On Saturday December 6th MArk came on and removed my old driveway and put the new one down for us and the compliments haven't stopped coming in yet! Class A act! Mark sat with me and talk and explained to me what was being done and why not to mention he saved me a lot of money! I have referred him to a few of my friends already! It takes recycled asphalt 48 hours to initially harden and up to 3 months to fully cure. It’s best to stay off of recycled asphalt for at least 48 hours, then you can walk or drive standard vehicles on it. Hold off on driving heavy trucks or equipment on it for at least 7 days. Allowing the surface to melt together and harden ensures that the surface stays durable and long-lasting. 

Decomposed granite and caliche can both harden into a solid surface using a plate compactor. However, due to decomposed granite’s fine particles, it’s not suitable for driveway surfaces. Some homeowners use pea gravel mixed with a gravel-binding resin to bind the loose stones and create a solid surface that won’t shift like loose gravel.

While it may be less expensive initially to lay concrete vs. pavers, the long-term expenses that come with repairing concrete may prove to be less cost-friendly than simply replacing a few damaged pavers. On top of that, stamped concrete may only last for 25 years compared to pavers, which can last over 50 years.

If your new pavers look dull or unclean, it is likely due to efflorescence, a chalky, white powder that forms when lime in the pavers gets wet. This condition often resolves on its own, as rain will naturally wash it away within about a year. For faster results, you can use a pressure washer to clean the pavers. Alternatively, consider using cleaning products specifically designed to remove efflorescence or applying sulfuric acid crystals.

You’ll first need to install a base underneath your pavers for extra stability and drainage. Otherwise, the pavers can sink into the ground, and you’ll have to reinstall them. Use a base gravel layer of 4 to 6 inches for walkways and 10 to 12 inches for driveways. Compact your gravel layer every 2 to 4 inches so it’s nice and solid. After you install your gravel base, apply a 1-inch layer of sand on top.
