After having a local contractor come out and provide me with a bid that seemed really high, I looked on NextDoor and saw a reference to Angie's List and specifically Automatic Climate - we used to use Angie's list and so I went there an checked it out - Automatic Climate had the most "A" reviews - something like 700+ in the Richmond area. Figuring I'd pay more but also recognizing that there's peace of mind paying a bit extra for quality work from a local company, I contacted them for an estimate. A gentleman named Michael who's their VP of estimates contacted me shortly -Michael was immediately likeable and came across as totally knowing his stuff - he explained the story of the company and how through their 4 step installation process, they differentiate from the other 199 HVAC contractors in the Richmond area. He came out for a quote and left a professional packet of materials for me to look at - we decided to go with them - Bottom line - these guys were awesome. Highlights: 2 years 0% financing, timely completion, and perhaps the most surprising thing, their bid was the lowest of the 3 I received (and of course the people, from Michael to the lead installation manager Chris to their receptionist.
