I asked Bath Planet for an estimate, upon completion of estimate, I was asked to pay a $100 deposit, and given 3 days to cancel with a refund. The company when ahead and ordered materials without my permission, and I was HARASSED , they constantly called to come by to get a check or they would just show up leaving business cards with notes in my door requesting a $6800.00 check and to get started because the materials were in. At this point I felt I had to hire them, once started Randy was polite and professional on the first 2 visits the shower was installed in 2 days. but there were some discrepencies, he used primer on the ceiling to cover up the caulking and poor mud work around the ceiling, there was a cut in the sheetrock about an inch to 2 long which he put mud on it and told me I had to sand and repaint it, there were scrapes in the sheetrock where they bought the materials in and also caulking drippings in various spaces on the wall and baseboards, I requested them to come back and correct it, what a disaster, they changed the caulking color around the top of the shower and the and the mud work was sloppy, they still requested another check so I gave them $3800, but on this visit Randy used my personal bathroom in my master suite, I was very unhappy with this, when I spoke to James Scaife he told me you can not help when mother nature calls, I told him aIl did not want Randy to come back to my home any more as I felt disrespected, He (James Scaife) in turn told me you are not going to tell us how to run our business, I in turn told him and you are not going to tell me who to let in my home. MIKE BREXLER came out to look at the finished project and agreed it needed to be touched up, So Ted was sent out and he made me feel confident that the project would be completed professionally, was I wrong, this turned out to be a complete disaster, The mud work was super sloppy, the caulking was sloppy as well it looked as if he took his entire finger and smeared it on, he agreed to change the color of the paint because we could not match it, (JAMES SCAIFE WAS FURIOUS because he did not get permission to change the paint color, anyway he did not paint behind the mirror, he had paint on the shower walls, paint on baseboards, he RUSHED, there was spots where there was not enough paint coverage, he came out at least 3 more times and never could get it right. his schedule was sketchy, he even wanted to come out on a Sunday. Long story short I ended up getting someone else to correct the damage to the best of his ability. Upon removing the messy caulking, it was discovered that Ted had attempted to cover up knicks in the edge of the shower walls, my contractor was not completely successful in repairing that damage , so they are still visible, THIS COMPANY HAS BEEN PAID $10171.00 balance due $1000, I paid $500.00 for my contractor to repair what they could not seem to fix, I asked JAMES SCAIFE for a partial refund, I was told I will NOT GIVE YOU ONE DIME BACK.. This has been going on for over a year. I went there to get my paperwork after calling 3 times to have it emailed, and was given the run around by MIKE BREXLER. there was an occassion when I asked to speaked to the owner and was told he will not speak to me until I send the contractor estimate, I'm COMPLETELY DISSATISFIED , I received a grant from the VA for this remodel and I THINK IT WAS ALL ABOUT THE MONEY FOR THEM, I WILL NEVER USE OR REFER THIS COMPANY AGAIN. Instead of a partial refund JAMES SCAIFE is still demanding $400.00 of the $1000.00 balance
