"The team at EC Electronics was very professional, on time and obviously experts in the field. They worked through a very stressful situation, remained professional throughout and got the job done. I would highly recommend Edwin and his team for any electrical installation. Job well done!"

"Did an excellent job meeting our expectations and concerns. Very efficient operation with quality work. Owner personally provided estimate and returned with crew next day for installation. Installation employees were courteous, friendly and did excellent job. Very satisfied with the work. May never know if effective in avoiding damage from lightning strike but that is a good thing as the alternative can be life changing as our neighbors learned the hard way."

"The electrician, Chris, arrived within the time frame provided when the appointment was made. He introduced himself, then gathered the necessary tools from his truck.  He was very efficient, professional, courteous and personable.  He took all used parts with him and ensured furniture that was moved to gain access was restored to its original location.

The entire experience was very positive - from making the appointment with the owner of the company through the installation of the replacement parts.  I will definitely use Go Green Electric for all future electrical needs and encourage others to give them a try.  It was evident from my conversations with the owner that this company truly emphasizes customer satisfaction."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

Yes, electric-start snow blowers need to be plugged in to start, but you can unplug them and go once they’re up and running. Simply plug the snow blower into an outdoor outlet and press the start button. Once it starts, you can unplug it and use it freely. The idea for these types of snow blowers is to simplify the starting process from the typical pull-string starts.

GFCI outlets should be clearly labeled with LINE and LOAD labels, with arrows leading to the proper terminals. The line terminals are typically at the top, and the load terminals are typically at the bottom.

On average, the cost to wire a new home ranges from $2 to $5 per square foot. The cost to rewire a house is around the same, ranging from $2 to $4 per square foot. Often, though, new wiring comes with lower overall costs since it’s much easier to access a home’s foundation.

Electric water heaters use a high amount of electricity, so they’re best for homeowners who subsidize their electric bill with solar or who live in an area with inexpensive electricity. For others, gas water heaters versus electric water heaters may be the more cost-effective solution, with the added bonus of heating water quickly and efficiently. No matter which you choose, you can lower your water temperature as low as possible to keep costs down.

A blinking, or twinkle, bulb makes Christmas lights blink. Usually, this type of bulb has a silver or red tip, making it easily distinguishable from other non-blinking bulbs. Most packages of Christmas lights come with additional blinking and non-blinking bulbs. Additional bulbs can be purchased at a hardware store or online retailer.
