Last week we had a problem with our plaster in one small section of our baby pool and even though out of warranty item they came today and fixed our plaster and we are up and running again. "Very disappointed with Greystone Masonry. We are not pleased with our stamped concrete patio at all. First, it was uneven. Instead of starting over, they cut the uneven portion out and re-poured only the affected section, which was about 1/4 of the patio. This resulted in uneven coloring. Again, instead of re-pouring, they sent someone out twice to reseal the patio, telling us it would even out the color. It didn't. As a result, there is so much sealant on the patio that now it has bubbles that have erupted all over the patio. I've contacted the store via phone and e-mail. No response from either. Terrible customer service. I would NOT recommend."

Deciding between concrete, stone, or brick pavers comes down to your budget and the ease of installation. Concrete is the least expensive material, followed by brick and then natural stone. Concrete pavers are also the easiest to install, but bricks are relatively easy as well. Stone pavers require more time and labor because their natural shapes make them harder to fit together. Professional stoneworkers, however, are able to shape them as needed.

A pallet of pavers will cost about $300 to $700 per pallet. Each pallet covers about 56 square feet. The specific price you pay per pallet of pavers will depend on a few factors, including the type of paver you’re buying, the size and shape of the pavers, and how many pavers you need. In some cases, you’ll spend less per pallet if you’re buying in bulk for very large paver patios.

A paver patio will add more value than a concrete patio. Pavers are a more commonly preferred option from an aesthetic and longevity point of view, so most buyers will be willing to pay more for a paver patio than they would for a concrete one. Pavers also don’t require a permanent foundation, so they won’t increase your property taxes. Buyers also prefer lower property taxes, so that will play into the ROI you’ll see, too.

Pea gravel can be used as a base for a paver patio, but it’s not the preferred choice. Because it is small and round, pea gravel moves much more easily than other base options, like crushed stone, so it won’t keep your pavers in place properly. 

If you do opt for pea gravel, compact it well and use an additional binding agent (like stone dust) to keep everything from shifting.

Driveway pavers are often worth the cost. Paver types like cobblestone, brick, and concrete are highly durable, and permeable paver options can be tremendously eco-friendly. While you may pay more for a paver driveway, you’ll see great returns from the increased curb appeal and low maintenance compared to other types of driveways.
