They thoroughly cleaned and prepped the deck for staining, which included applying environmentally safe cleaner and counter sinking nails and lightly sanding the horizontal surfaces. They protected all items (lighting, siding and hot tub, etc.) from overspray and applied two even coats of stain to my 500 sqft deck.
