After painstaking research and false starts, I found Construction Systems and glad I did! The crew was professional - defined as on time, detail oriented, efficient, thorough, patient in addressing my concerns, and top notch work. They ensured the gable work was excellent before calling it done. Joe’s estimate work was good and reasonably priced. Peace of mind knowing the job was priced well, done right, on time, and site cleaned up are invaluable.

They did a great job replacing the three posts. They were reliable and the finished job looks great.

Phenomenal! I had some idea of what we needed in painting and remodeling for part of our project, and then I had NO idea for the rest... I found a partner to help define it fully in Construction Systems of Virginia. Normally I do not leave reviews, but this company gave us exactly what we needed in the timeline we needed it. Hardest I’ve ever had to work for a job I was paying somebody else to do. It took significant effort, time, and money on my part. Top ten things that went wrong: 1. Installed an outlet without an electrical box 2. Didn’t replace the piece of sheathing that caused our mold problem until I noticed it 3. Boarded up our laundry and bathroom exhaust vents, until I pointed it out. 4. Painted over our fireplace bricks when installing the mantle which was not requested 5. Bought the wrong insulation materials twice even though the brand was specified in the contract 6. Materials ordered late and delayed parts of project 7. Siding repairs were mismatched for a different style that our HOA explicitly didn’t allow 8. Reattached our downspouts without the proper drain adapter (as it was before) 9. The new patio door they installed still leaked water after multiple repair attempts 10. Work crew breached the mold containment zone that the mold remediation company said not to breach.

I am disappointed that it is taking so long (7 months) to fix a 2 bedroom apartment that was damaged by fire.  Something isn't adding up and this delay is excessive to say the least. Updated 3/8/2024 I had painting done by a general contractor and that was Construction Systems Inc. I would never use them or recommend anybody to use again. They checked the money and sat down on the job.  They were general contractor and they were supposed to add a fire. They were supposed to make everything well again. They just did a little work and took the money and so I had to fire them basically. The panning was a disaster. It was flatter everywhere it was a really bad job. The quote was okay but they didn't finish the job. They just let me hang in there so it took 13 months for a job that should have taken 3 months because I had to do it myself. I had to do it myself. I had to fire the contractor. I gave him 32000 dollars and all he did was the floor and some painting and put in a light or something. They stole my money. They send a guy out and they do a little babbling work and that is it.

They arrived on time and were very thorough. Wife was very pleased.

The work went reasonably well. Some work had to be done a second time but the work was done to satisfaction. All commitments in contract were kept. Over all the work was satisfactory and working with the manager was very pleasant.

It was a positive experience. I immediately sensed the integrity of the owner, and the importance of quality workmanship. My calls and emails were responded to in a timely manner. My home looks great!
