"Excellent.  He arrived promptly at 8 am and went straight to work cleaning the inside of our windows.  (Several of the windows were in difficult to reach areas and had not been cleaned since he was here 2 years ago!). He then proceeded outside to power wash the house and garage door, then clean the outside of our windows.  He worked diligently for 4 hours. "

"I contracted with Quality Improvements to build a large deck. The build site is on rough sloping terrain. Mr Mariano Siles oversaw the project and in fact did most of the work. He was very personable and patient in explaining to me the challenges and his proposed solutions. His exceptional attention to detail resulted in a beautiful 400sf deck built to code and absolutely level. I would enthusiastically recommend Quality Improvements to anyone."

"Chris was quick to respond and started work quickly. First, he thorougly power cleaned the deck and repaired as needed. Later, he and his helper painted the deck with a longer-wearing product. He was also took the initiative to repair and clean other areas, for no extra charge. It is always nice when a job goes this smoothly."

"MC Fence & Deck did an amazing job on our new vinyl fence! We wanted something low maintenance but stylish, and they delivered exactly what we asked for. John was super helpful from the start, walking us through our options and giving honest recommendations. The crew worked fast and left the yard clean when they finished. We highly recommend them if you need a fence. Great service and fair pricing!"

"Very professional and courteous! Great work on the walls; the only minor issue I had here was cleanup. He did an excellent job on cleaning the floors, but there were small bits and pieces of joint compound on the walls, mirror, molding, and baseboards areas surrounding the patched areas that had to be scraped off after he left. Exhaust fan and porch light replacement done quickly and perfectly."

FAQs for deck cleaning projects in Mason Neck, VA

The average cost to hire a house cleaner is between $30 and $50 per hour. Costs vary depending on house size, the number of bedrooms and bathrooms, and the type of cleaning you want. Deep cleaning will be more expensive since it requires more time and effort to move furniture and clean hard-to-reach areas compared to a standard cleaning session.

There are a few ways to make your deck look new without professional power washing. First, you can use either store-bought cleaners or dish soap and water to mop your deck regularly to clean off accumulated dirt. To clean your deck and remove mold, mix two gallons of warm water with a ½ cup of distilled white vinegar or apple cider vinegar, rinse the area, and then scrub with a stiff-bristled broom.

The cost to professionally pressure wash your deck is $150 on average. This cost can range from $100 to $600, depending on the size of your deck and its condition.

For an average deck of about 300 square feet, you can expect to pay around $100. However, if you have a spacious 1,000-square-foot deck or more, expect that cost to be closer to $300 to $400. Likewise, if it’s been a long time since you deep cleaned your deck, the deck professional might need extra time and to use deck-specific detergent, which will increase the overall cost.

The average house cleaner cost is around $180, which should cover about four hours of work. However, each project is different and costs can range from $100 to $1,000, depending on the house size and the cleaning needed. Other cost factors can include your location and what level of cleaning you want. Standard or basic cleaning may include vacuuming, dusting, and disinfecting the kitchen and bathrooms. Deep cleaning costs about twice as much and often includes cleaning behind and underneath furniture, washing windows, and polishing hard-to-clean surfaces. Emergency cleaning, extreme cleaning, and holidays also impact pricing. Move-in and move-out cleaning typically cost more, too, because of the extensive, whole-house cleaning involved.

Although tipping is not a requirement, many people tip house cleaners around 10% to 15% of the final cleaning cost. Some people tip as much as 20% or more, but it’s up to your discretion. Rather than tipping each cleaning session, you can also tip monthly or give the house cleaner a holiday bonus. There are no rules for tipping, but if your house cleaner did a great job it’s encouraged.
