"In the spring of 2024, I started on a project to add a porch to the front of my house. Tucker gave good advice on surveying the lot before working on the design. Looking at my house and the other houses on the street, he should have realized that a $50,000 porch would not make economic sense. I wish he would have talked me in another direction. Some of the features I requested were not on the initial drawing, nor was there a description of the materials. I assumed he did not take good notes at our initial meeting. They are poor estimators of their timer requirements. Quality of drawings was good. I wish Tucker would have talked me out of a porch addition at our initial meeting. "I placed a notice on Angi that I desperately needed an architect. I was given a list of 5 companies, however Campbell Architects (CA) contacted me first. As a matter of fact, I do not recall any of the other companies reaching out to me. When I tell you that Johnathan Campbell stepped in and did what I needed him to do which was to draw a PLAT of my property, he also went above and beyond what one would expect someone as busy as him to do. He came in and recognized that in addition to needing a PLAT, I was also having a terrible time getting the work on my property completed because a hostile neighbor continuously contacted the DOB with false statements causing me to incur numerous Stop Work Orders. When I asked Mr. Campbell what his experience was with this sort of thing, he told me and then offered his help. What I found was a very thoughtful, quiet, and professional architect who had seen it all. Not only did he understand the situation with the neighbor, he also understood my plight with the DOB and set about methodically, and very carefully stepping in to argue my case for me. He has the experience, he has the knowledge, he has the patience and he is an established and well known architect in this area, and highly respected at the DOB. It took me six months to get a response from the DOB, but once Mr. Campbell stepped in, it only took one day. My point here is that the magnitude of an individual's professionalism, knowledge and capabilities is reflected in the work product and engagement experience you the homeowner will receive. Here, Mr. Campbell made a WORLD of difference in my life as a homeowner trying to do her best against a system of mostly men who know the system, who can be cavalier and do not really care that we the homeowners have become frustrated with DOB. Mr. Campbell is an ANGEL. If you ever need an architect, he is your guy. He is a no nonsense kind of man who really, really cares about people and understands that most homeowners are "no match" for the DOB machine that controls the movement of homeowners here in the DMV. I am so grateful to Angi for creating a platform where I could find Mr. Campbell. I honestly do not know if I could have survived my nightmare ordeal without his knowledge, strength and capabilities. I now consider him to be a friend. I was shocked that he was willing to help me with the crazy man next door, but he took all of that on. He has made a difference in my mental health and ability to complete the work that I started, which the neighbor constantly stopped. I feel that I got more than an architect when I met Mr. Campbell. When people tell me they need an architect I always tell them JOHNATHAN CAMPBELL FROM CAMPBELL ARCHITECTS. This is the best company I have worked with in years. So grateful to have met him."

"The laundry room was the last unfinished room in my house. Lester Garcia was the only contractor who came for an estimate that seemed to really care about my project and put in the time to give me an accurate estimate. The other 4 companies seemed to just gloss over what we wanted and give a ballpark estimate. We felt that Lester really listened and gave us an accurate fair quote. The last thing anyone would want would be to be surprised as to the final bill! His workers were hard working and very professional and went out of their way to ensure that we were satisfied. My biggest complaint was that we were never sure if they were going to show up on what day. They would say the "electrician" or another worker would stop by on Tuesday and then wouldn't show up until Wednesday. This happened on several occasions. I would recommend that the company could communicate better with their customers. A phone call in the morning or the night before would go along way to set expectations. However they did quality work and we are very pleased with the room!"

"The first reason we would highly recommend Green Studio Builders is the reason we selected them in the first place from a pool of candidate contractors: They listened to us. We appreciated that they were willing to work with our vision rather than trying to upend our ideas. GSB is a design build firm, but we found them surprisingly flexible compared with several architect-contractors we interviewed. The second reason we would recommend GSB is that they finished our project on time and on budget, even though the bulk of the construction took place during the course of the pandemic. They hit their targets even though they were forced to work, unexpectedly, with our family in the house and under foot the whole time. "Kuldar and his team recently completed a renovation for the front of our house - removing the existing siding and replacing it with natural stone. I had no idea what to expect with this type of project, just a final picture in mind, and wow did these guys exceed my expectations. They were professional and helpful every step of the way, explaining in depth what we'd need with very reasonable pricing and timelines. The crew was extremely polite and worked diligently during wild weather variance days of summer and I can stress enough how gorgeous everything looked once complete. I would absolutely recommend Triton for any masonry or siding work - you will not be disappointed."

"My wife and I are incredibly satisfied with our renovated home. From the design work done by Dave at NRG to very efficiently use our limited space, to the on-schedule completion of the work to facilitate our tight move-out/move-in schedule, to the outstanding punch list finishing work the NRG team did to make the minor repairs involved in every home project, to NRG's doggedness and determination to make sure we are satisfied all the way to the finish line--we really couldn't ask for a better home renovation experience. Even after unexpected but essential change orders like a new roof and sistered first floor joists, and the inclusion of the unanticipated desires like the purchase and installation of the basement Murphy bed, NRG's original price estimate was within a couple percent of the final total, which really says something about the effort and quality Dave and the NRG team put into their work, their professionalism, and their determination to get it right. My wife and I got everything we wanted at the price NRG quoted, which was right smack in the middle of the five bids we received and was quite fair and reasonable. NRG's commitment to stand by their work has given me great peace of mind. We have had minor hiccups since moving back in, each of which has been successfully and quickly resolved, and whenever something unexpected occurs, I remember and rest on Dave's assurance: "If there's an issue, we'll fix it. We stand by our work." That's exactly what Dave and NRG have done. Dave is not just a general contractor, he also serves as a counselor and mentor throughout the renovation process whom you can trust."

"Worst company I have ever dealt with in any country for any reason, period. Sales person assured we had one type of floor which was incorrect, coercive methods used to get releases signed, and after the fact, when complaints/concerns were expressed (namely, my 3/4in solid hardwood floor replaced with 1/2in engineered hardwood floor and ensuing gaps/issues) the blame was placed on us for "allowing the work to continue" and a litany of solutions were presented, none of which were presented at the time of the work. When the call escalated to the possibility of having legal actions taken, the sales manager Miguel laughed, and said "a lot of people threaten us, we're a big company with a lot of lawyers". After previous escalations, I can say for a fact that every member of the sales team and customer support apparatus there consistently talks over, raises their voice, demeans, or otherwise tries to bully the customer. The lone exception here is the poor guy who actually did the work, Freddy, that guy got a big tip and did a fantastic job with what he was given. The rest of this company however, is acerbic, outright lies, refuses to own up to any mistakes (like the 1 day job we were promised becoming a 6 day job), obfuscate the truth (the day before work was to begin we were told we might not be the first stop for the installers, which was not even discussed as a possibility, they didn't arrive until 4:30pm on the contracted day), and are generally dismissive and combative, placing all blame on the customer with a "well you should have known better/should not have signed then/should have known these other solutions you could have asked for". Its telling to me that they are so often threatened with legal action that the sales manager, Miguel, laughed about it and had to flex about his army of lawyers - I guess they get a lot of unhappy customers outside of the reviews they bought (obviously bot reviews if you read them on google). AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS."
