"My experience with this company was very good. They informed me of the process at every level. Nikki, a representative with the company , was very easy to work with. Upon completion of the job Nikki made sure that I was completely satisfied with the installation of the drywall and my choice of texture and paint color. I would recommend this company to family and friends."

"The communication And response time was absolutely outstanding fast and efficient. They scheduled the work 24 hours after giving me the bid. They were there within two days. The bid was comparable to others but timeframe was much better. They finished in five working days. They even worked on Saturday. They accounted for everything communicated with me multiple times. Took the bed in three parts. Didn’t require all the money upfront like most contractors. They gave a clear bed that defined every item that was going to be done and how much it cost. When we made some changes they gave me an immediate bed to change items that was very comprehensive just like their original bid. I would Absolutely recommend them on any job. The quality of work in the materials recommended were top notch. Thanks again for the great service."

Removing a load-bearing wall affects the structural integrity of your home, so you’ll need a permit before starting the work. Building codes vary by municipality, and obtaining a permit and having the work inspected after completion will ensure you’re in compliance with all applicable regulations.

The average cost of DIY window framing is about $40 to $60 in materials. If you hire a window treatment professional, you’ll pay for materials plus labor costs—anywhere from $250 to $800 per window. The final cost is highly dependent on the window size, as larger windows are heavier and more difficult to install, as well as the type of window framing material.

When deciding whether to use nails or screws for framing, the specific needs of the project must be taken into account. Nails have long been the go-to option for framing due to their affordability, ease of installation, and ability to withstand shear forces. They are perfect for structural framing projects where fast assembly is essential. In contrast, screws offer exceptional holding power and are particularly useful in situations requiring increased strength and resistance to pull-out forces. For projects that prioritize accuracy and long-lasting quality, screws may be the preferred option, though nails remain a dependable and efficient choice.

Most Cape Cod houses are two stories tall at the peak, although they’re considered one-and-a-half stories tall because the steep roof pitch cuts off a portion of the living space on the second story. Unless you raise the roof on your Cape Cod house to add a dormer, the interior rooms upstairs will lose some usable living space to the sloped ceilings.

When choosing a drywall anchor, consider the weight of the object you're hanging and how much weight the anchor will need to support. The heavier the weight, the stronger the anchor you'll need. You’ll find the weight capacity on the packaging when shopping for anchors.

Also, remember that you can use more than one anchor when hanging something on the wall. If you're using multiple anchors, divide the object weight by the number of anchors to determine how much each will need to support. If you need help deciding which drywall anchor to use, you can hire a handyperson to hang your objects.
