It went very well. Marcus did a great job. He refinished an antique kitchen cabinet to be the bathroom vanity, and fitted the hutch with a mirror. It looks fabulous! Tiled the floor, added lighting, cabinets and an appliance garage. The price was quite fair and affordable. He finished in the time frame he had suggested. He'll be doing our kitchen in June.

He did a great job. He is just a really nice person. The job was excellent and effective. I plan on using him again.

Marcus came on a Saturday to install my kitchen cabs telling me that he would finish the job on Sunday if he needed to but he ended up abandoning me with an unfinished kitchen installation. There was a problem with the 12" upper and lower cab missing the mark by 1/2"...it happens in remodeling, it is disappointing and it caused some duress on my part. Marcus finished installing the remaining of my cabs for that day. There was still the decking for my countertops that needed to be done, the adjustment of some drawers, an installation of a spice rack, the dishwasher and end part of that cab to be installed. When I asked about his returning on Sunday to finish the work bec the upper cab didn't delay the bottom cab work, he hedged about returning Sunday and left me with some measurements on my wall explaining that the granite company where I was getting my quartz countertop from 'should be able to measure the cabs to this mark and get your countertop ready and when you get the cab situation dealt with the work can be finished. I was uncomfortable ordered expensive quartz based on a measurement written on my wall and work left undone on bottom cabs and after contacting Marcus several times via text and voice mail that I would like my lower cabs completely finished before I call for my countertops finally four days later I receive an email from Marcus stating that due to the high level of stress working with me he will not be completeing my kitchen work. I later learned from another source that has worked with Marcus that there is usually always trouble on his jobs. Angie's List reviews is what helps home owners like myself make a decision about the people we are trusting our homes to; it is hard but even a mild negative review is beneficial in making this decision. It would possibly have prevented me from being stuck with an unfinished installation for my kitchen. Side note: the small unstressed work Marcus did previously for me was good, but he doesn't appear to handle stressful job situation well, and I haven't found a remodeling job yet that doesn't run into high stress.

Very nice work. The plumber suggested the water filter be in a pan to drain outside if it leaked when the hot water heater was replaced. There is no standard pan for filters and Marcus built a pan special. The work done on floating the newly replaced sheetrock for the wall removal was beautiful, smooth, clean, no rough edges. Marcus would double check about small details I requested when he came to that area rather than forging ahead with the work making a decision himself. The only issue I had was the pencil lines which marked the leveling and placement of shelves and a kitchen cabinet that were left on newly painted wall. Pencil marks were left for me to clean up and pencil is not easy to remove on painted walls. It would have been nice to have been given instructions on how to clean the pencil off the walls or they clean them off rather than me having to go back and touch up and repaint the lines while trying to avoid getting paint on my new shelving and on a new kitchen cab. Overall I am happy with work.

Tree was no charge. We've called on Marcus for services for our home and investment properties for over 5 years. He is a consummate professional and his work is the highest quality.

Mr. Lavoie the owner of HD Remodeling, was there to over see all work done in my home by his workers, some of which did he himself. The estimate he provided me with was correct and did not vary according to work actually done. Mr. Lavoie was at my home on time and performed the work in a timely manor. The cleanup was impeccable. Mark is very professional, and payed attention to me and what I requested to have done. He is very detail oriented and very talented person with a great visual eye. I believe Mark enjoys the challenge of creativity I would highly recommend HD Remodeling for any and all jobs to be done.
