"I feel extremely fortunate to have found Vicki through Angie's List !  She is an extremely talented person who is very easy to deal with. She has a breath of knowledge that allows her to accommodate my tastes, but also ensure that the overall design is in sync with the design and location of my home.  She has  a very diplomatic way of suggesting when I'm going astray with my choices and in every case where she has told me "Trust Me"  I have been delighted ! She is very aggressive in helping me find the best pricing and often times will work with the vendors directly  hence saving me the time.  She also has excellent local contacts.  Everyone I've worked with through Vicki has been timely, professional, and highly competent.
My project is far from complete.  I intend to continue to use Vicki and her expert advice until the end !!!!"

"

Did a good job, providing 2 layouts to choose from.  Completed design and sent email and snail mail paint and furniture samples in a little over a month from starting the process.  The previous estimate was 2-3 weeks so it wasn't so late.  My only disappointment was the design was not for the complete room.  They told me that the missing area was considered an entry way or hallway and could be designed for an additional fee.  I did not want to pay an additional and accepted their explanation, but on second thought, in my opinion, it isn't really separate.  There is a large archway one-third of the way into the room, but I have never considered it as two separate rooms and no one visiting my home has ever mentioned it.  Every room has an entrance.  I wouldn't call the way to get into a room as a separate room. Other than that, I would say a got a great deal overall.

Home Staging questions, answered by experts

In Tyler, postponing home staging can result in missing the most active real estate market periods, making your property less competitive. Unstaged homes often appear less inviting in listing photos, which may reduce showings and offers. Delays also increase the risk of minor property issues worsening, potentially lowering your home’s value and extending its time on the market.

Helpful?

In Tyler, unexpected costs during home staging often include pest treatments, humidity control for protecting furnishings, and touch-ups after storms. Rural properties may have higher delivery fees for rental furniture, while vacant homes might need temporary utility activation or pool maintenance. Weather-related delays and limited staging inventory can also extend project timelines, impacting the overall process and market readiness.

Helpful?

In Tyler, the project timeline depends on your home’s size, condition, and accessibility. Smaller, well-maintained homes with minimal clutter are often staged in one visit. Larger or older properties, or those needing repairs, typically require multiple sessions. Weather conditions, the availability of staging materials, and coordination with other real estate services can also influence how many visits are needed for a successful staging outcome.

Helpful?

In Tyler, knowing your home’s age, floor plan, and architectural details helps tailor staging to local buyer expectations. Consider the real estate market trends, such as popular styles and features in East Texas, and highlight unique amenities like porches or gardens. Understanding neighborhood appeal and recent comparable sales can guide which spaces to emphasize for maximum property value and buyer interest.

Helpful?

In Tyler, cosmetic issues like clutter, outdated décor, or minor wear can be addressed with home staging. However, if you notice structural problems, leaks, or electrical concerns, these require repair by a qualified professional before staging. If you’re unsure, consult a local contractor or inspector to determine whether the issue affects safety or is simply a matter of presentation.
