"I had two very tall sycamore trees removed from my front yard by Ortiz Brothers Tree Service. Mr. Ortiz arrived at 8:00 am and got to work right away. His assistant arrived 90 minutes later. They did a splendid job of cutting, grinding roots and trunks, and cleaning up the yard. The price to do the work was extremely reasonable. I couldn’t be happier with the project. I highly recommend Ortiz Brothers Tree Service."

"I was extremely pleased and happy with the work and results of Good Morning Tree Service. I have a very large lot with 22 trees , ...oaks and cedar elms. It had been quite a while since these trees had been trimmed. There were quite a few high branches and â tonsâ of ball moss. The estimate for this tree trimming job was the middle bid of three bids. The crew of 5 was excellent and very conscientious in their work. They had to get pretty far up in the trees to trim. Every day they thoroughly cleaned up the yard. Good Morning Tree Service is an excellent company and I highly recommend them."

It's easy to misidentify trees that appear to be maple trees due to similarities in leaf shapes. Sweetgum, sycamore, and yellow poplar all have leaf shapes and appearances similar to maples. The best time to transplant a tree is when it is dormant. For many trees, this means either in the fall after the leaves have dropped (around October or November) or in early spring before new growth begins (around March). The ideal timing can depend on the type of tree. Deciduous trees do well when moved in early spring or fall, while evergreens are best transplanted in early spring or late summer. For example, pine trees are best moved in early fall, but maples prefer late fall. Avoid transplanting in winter, as the frozen or hard, cold soil poses a significant risk to the roots and prevents the tree from acclimating properly.

We don’t recommend DIY tree trimming for a few different reasons. First, the tools required to trim a tree can be costly, up to $1,100 or more, for the ladders and specialized saws needed. 

Safety is another concern, especially when working with more mature trees. As a guideline, you should only DIY tree trimming when branches are less than two inches in diameter. Any more, and the safety risk becomes too high, which could lead to catastrophe. For this job, it’s safest to let a tree-trimming professional assess the work needed.

Not all evergreen conifers need to be pruned, but some do. Pruning pine trees is not necessary, but you can do so during June and July if you wish. On the other hand, spruce, firs, and junipers do need to be pruned from late winter to early spring.
