"I was impressed with the professionalism of Pete and his company. He was quick to review and provide a quote for the work we requested. He stayed in contact with us and showed up on time to complete the work. We requested an adjustment to our front porch wrought iron rail and the work he did met all our expectations, I highly recommend Pete should you need any welding work done."

"I had over 160 feet of rusted out bottom fence railing that Mr Dias and his crew replaced with new and they did a lot of welding to the posts. In some instances the post had to be repaired/repatched in order for the horizontal railings to weld back to posts. In all they spent two days removing and welding and one day prep and sanding and one day in painting. Four days in all from start to finish. Mr Dias also came back out one final time a couple of days after for his final inspection and any paint touch ups. I highly recommend Mr Dias for his welding services and eye for detail experience when it comes to wroth-iron fence repairs. Believe me he saved me a lot of money restoring rather than replacement."

"Excellent Work for Reasonable Price and On Time. Rury demonstrated to be a professional businessman and workmanship. He and his team called and arrived as promised to inspect and work. They explained to us what they need to do and how they would do. Informed me in well advance that they will delay the work because of weather. I am completely impressed with Rodeo Mobile Welding Service. I would use their service again and recommend to my family and friends."

Welding questions, answered by experts

Professional metal fabricators typically charge around $70 per hour, but the total cost of your project will depend on several factors. The largest cost drivers are the size, complexity, and design of the project, as well as the price and type of metal used. A good way to estimate the total cost is to multiply the cost of raw materials by four; typically, one-quarter of the total goes toward materials and three-quarters toward labor. Your geographic location can also influence costs, as labor and material prices vary by region.

Yes, you can use a saw to cut metal pipes. The best saw to use is a reciprocating saw, but even a fine-tooth hacksaw can get the job done. No matter which saw you use to cut metal pipes, wear protective gear, like work gloves, safety goggles, and ear plugs. Apply a firm, steady pressure to the tool, and always ensure the pipes are secured so they don't move while you make the cuts.

Choosing the right metal fabricator for your project begins with research. Find a reputable fabrication company by searching for reputable contractors in your area, and then reviewing photos of their previous work, customer reviews, and photos of the company’s workshop.

Once you’ve narrowed down the list, contact the companies to ask about the types of metal fabrication projects they specialize and inquire about guarantees and warranties on workmanship. You should also ensure the company uses high-quality material, and ask about the schedule and turnaround time for your proposed project.

Since water heaters are primarily made of metal, they’re commonly accepted by scrap yards and collectors. Don’t expect to fetch a high price, though—water heaters are mostly steel and aluminum, which aren’t high-value metals. Some components are made of more valuable metals, like brass and copper, but they’re a small portion of the heater and won’t affect the price much.

Yes, but you’ll need reliable steel-cutting tools and safety gear to get started. Shipping containers are typically around ¾ inch thick, so it’s entirely possible to cut through them, but experience and the right equipment are very important. When possible, try to get a container as close to the size you want it as possible.
