"Good Morrow did a wonderful job on taking out my trees, you can't even tell the trees were there, they were very nice, and they did the job on a very timely manner, they cleaned up their mess, and I would definitely use good morrow again if I had to take any more trees out."

"I was able to get an estimate on my job within 24 hours of the request. They provided a copy of their insurance without me having to ask. The crew arrived on time and had all the right equipment for the job the next day! This was a huge tree right next to the house, so I was fairly nervous. They finished the job in only a few hours and the stump grinding was high quality. You definitely get what you pay for. I will be using them again for all my tree removal needs."

"We had a great experience with this company. They came quickly to give a quote and followed up with a detailed text of exactly what we discussed. We had a large 22 year old pine tree pruned and balanced, 4 smaller trees trimmed, a lemon tree pruned and a tree removal. The price was very competitive and affordable. Selecting them over another quote for $150 more was a no brainer. Really great fast service. We paid via Zelle and that was very convenient. I highly recommend their services to anyone in need."

Customers say: Quick response

"I had a very large tree fall during a storm. I received quotes from numerous companies and Veliz tree service provided the lowest quote. I hired them and they were willing to work the following day. They did an incredible job cutting the tree, disposing of it and cleaning up after. They communicated with me throughout the process and also followed up to make sure I was satisfied with their work. I will without a doubt be using them for all of my future tree needs. You won’t regret using them."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

The ideal time to prune a tree depends on the type of tree. Typically, late winter or early spring is a good time to prune but isn't always the case for "towering trees." It's best to trim when trees are dormant and before blooms appear but can vary depending on the tree type. It's always best to research the type of tree or ask a professional tree trimmer to determine when is the perfect time to prune your tree.

Generally speaking, you’ll want to avoid flush cuts, which are cuts made as extremely close to the trunk or main branch. These cuts can weaken your tree, lower its natural defense mechanisms, and even cause decay. You’ll also want to avoid tree topping, which is the total removal of the leader and upper main branches of a tree.

Most pros will advise against either of these methods, which is why hiring a pro is often the best choice when it comes to tree trimming.

Peach trees don’t tend to live as long as other types of trees and crops. They tend to last only about 12 years, and you shouldn’t expect to see a full peach harvest each of those years, either. Young peach trees need a few years to get established before they produce fruit, but you should have plenty of peaches for your pies and cobblers during their mature years, around years four through eight.

There are four common ways to prune a tree correctly: crown thinning, crown reduction, crown raising, and crown cleaning. The method you choose depends on the purpose of pruning. However, making the correct cuts is a vital part of the process, regardless of your method. Pruning incorrectly can damage or even kill the tree. So, you may want to hire a professional tree-trimming company to tackle the task.

If executed correctly your tree should survive after being transplanted to a new spot. However, effective transplanting requires six months, careful root pruning, safe transport to the new location, and replanting in prime soil conditions. You’ll also need an appropriately sized root ball for a complete tree transplant. A good rule of thumb is that, for every inch in diameter, your tree’s root ball needs to be around 11 inches. So a tree with a diameter of six inches needs a root ball of approximately 66 inches.
