"We have indoor / outdoor carpet in a screened, covered porch. This summer while we were traveling, the condensation drain for an AC unit backed up to an overflow which discharged and left a large rusty stain on the carpet. I was pessimistic about the stain being removed and if it couldn't be removed, my wife wanted to replace about 1,000 sq ft of carpet. So, I selected a day when I could stay home for several hours to find a carpet cleaner. I've had great experiences with Angi before, so that's where I turned. "I think their policy is a punitive one: to charge you $100 if you switch from recurring to one-time. I offered to pay the difference between a one-time fee and a recurring fee after I cancelled because I was dissatisfied. They stopped communicating with me when I asked that they remove their charge of $100 and they said that it was their policy to make the charge. I think this is a bad business practice, although it is their policy. So that is why I am not going to give them my business again. They can keep my $100, which I think is a punitive charge, but they will not get any more of my business."
