Small jobs welcome

"Our first cleaning with UpkeepX was a great experience. Maria arrived on time and did an excellent job. They have also done a fantastic job of keeping the lines of communication active, which we very much appreciate. We are very satisfied with UokeepX and will continue to use their service for regular home cleaning."

"Their customer service is great and Jorge did a wonderful job cleaning our carpets! Our carpet looked and smelled so good when he was done. I have pets and the cleaning removed all visible stains and odors. I now have my go to cleaners. I will definitely call them again for all my carpet cleaning needs. I highly recommend."

"I went on Home Advisor after 10:00 pm and said I wanted a call back now. Moses called me, gave me the price, and we set up an appointment for 9:00 am the next morning. At the house he thoroughly explained every part of the process, especially removing the dog urine. He did a fabulous job so now the carpets in the three bedrooms are clean ready for our parents to move into their new home tomorrow."

Carpet Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Anything that might have been exposed to fumigation chemicals should be washed before use. Wipe down and sanitize surfaces like countertops and tables, and wash all utensils (or take care to store them in an airtight box beforehand), as well as anything else that could find its way into someone’s mouth, like kid or pet toys.

Baking soda is a fantastic neutralizing agent for removing pet odors. It’s also safe to use around pets and kids, which is why many homeowners choose it. Let it sit overnight then vacuum the baking soda out of the carpet in the morning. Repeat the process if odors persist.

Carpets can turn brown after cleaning due to a phenomenon called "wicking." It occurs when deep-seated dirt and moisture rise to the surface as the carpet dries because of excessive water or improper rinsing. Additionally, not allowing the carpet to dry thoroughly before walking on it can lead to browning.

When cleaning upholstery, you want to avoid harsh scrubbing, oversaturating the fabric, and using the wrong kind of cleaner for the fabric you’re cleaning. Any of these can cause significant damage to the upholstery, including rips, stains, faded fabric, mildew, or discoloration. Be methodical and use a light touch when cleaning upholstered furniture to preserve the life and look of the upholstery.

The best solution for mopping floors depends on the type of floor you have, but a good all-around or multi-purpose DIY floor cleaner is 2 cups of warm water, 5 to 10 drops of liquid dish soap, and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. This is safe to use on tile, laminate, wood, polished concrete, vinyl, and more, as it’s relatively neutral and lacks caustic and abrasive chemicals that could be harmful to children and pets. You can also use a multi-purpose commercial cleaner, but make sure to follow the directions for safety.
