"I called Abel and asked him if he would come by my property to provide a quotation on a redesign and install of sprinkler system front and back. Abel came out right away to take a look. When he arrived we discussed what I was looking to have done. Abel listened and understood completely. After talking for a while, Abel provided me a verbal quotation of the work to be done and I told him I would be in contact. The following Monday I contacted Abel and indicated I would like to go forward. He said he would provide a formal quotation and contract in a few days which he did. I had a time frame in which I wanted the work to be completed, Abel assured me that was not an issue. He told me the project would take 2 to 3 days. We agreed on a date he would start. On the start date Abel and his crew arrived and began the work. the project took 2 1/2 days as promised and was completed a full week before my deadline. The work was clean and professional and I ended up with exactly what I wanted. I would highly recommend CRI Landscapes and would use him again. Thank you Abel."

"The service tech was very nice, arrived within the 4-hour window on the day we called for service. Company would not quote a price on the phone for service, which should have been a red flag. We had asked about help on a pool drain, but the tech said once he was here that they did not do that sort of work. So on to the toilets. He looked at both toilets and quoted a price per toilet of over $300 each. I mentioned that a famous home appliance store would install for $129 each, after which he offered to do both for $350. I figured go ahead and get it done. No complaints about the work, but I feel they need to be a bit more competitive and up front on pricing. For future projects will be using neighbors recommendations vs. Home Advisor, it seems to be a trend that pros recommended by the service tend to the high price of the scale, which is annoying."

Drain Pipe Installation questions, answered by experts

It’s possible to snake minor drain clogs yourself, provided they sit within a foot or two of the drain itself, but it’s usually best to hire a professional plumber regardless. Even experienced DIYers have a high chance of accidentally pushing the clog further into the drain using a drain snake or another tool, so hiring a plumber is the ideal course of action. A professional plumber can use camera equipment to locate and identify the clog, and remove the entire blockage to fix your issue permanently.

Yes, continuing to flush a clogged toilet is not likely to break up the clog. Instead, it will continue to put pressure on the clog while filling the bowl with more water, which can potentially cause the toilet to overflow—leading to an even bigger mess. Rather than repeatedly flushing, use a toilet plunger or plumber’s snake to dislodge the clog.

Yes, frozen pipes can prevent a toilet from working correctly. If the pipes are frozen, water cannot flow, which means your toilet tank won't be able to refill after a flush. This will prevent the toilet from flushing again. Depending on which lines are frozen, the ice can also block the drain pipe, preventing water from flushing away.

As a temporary workaround, you can manually add water to the tank for each flush. To clear a frozen drain pipe, you can try filling the toilet bowl or tank with warm water and flushing to help thaw the ice. However, the best long-term solution is to unfreeze the pipes to get your toilet back in working order.

Bleach is generally not recommended for your shower drains. Although diluted bleach can technically help clean your drain, it will not unclog your pipes. In fact, bleach can harm your plumbing system because it’s so powerful. The bleach can change the color of your sink and even corrode metal pipes and fittings.

Often, people reach for bleach because it's already in their house. But it's worth getting a plunger or a drain snake for the job instead. It'll be a lot less money to buy a new plunger than to pay a plumber to repair or replace damaged pipes.

First, find the cleanout pipe in your yard. Unscrew the cap—you may need a wrench to do so. Then, get a drain snake. You can use a non-motorized one, but a motorized snake will make the job a little easier. Feed the snake through the pipe until it reaches the clog. Spin the snake continuously, but don’t try to feed it through the pipe anymore. Keep spinning until you feel it break the clog apart.
