They took the time to make sure all glue residue was gone, and the glass was clean before applying the ceramic tint. "The provider was able to replace the window for a great price.  However he tried to reuse the old plastic glazing that holds the window pane in against the frame in a couple of places.  This old glazing was cracked.  I had some new plastic glazing and replaced those pieces myself.  The great price made this extra effort worthwhile.
