"My chest freezer broke down and I did not want to buy a new one since I could not afford the same size. I reached out to appliance parts pro and they were confident that what I ordered would fix my problem. $200 in parts later and I now have a broken freezer on my porch and am still paying the loan to this terrible company. They just want you to order parts and try them because they know you can't return them. I hate this company with every fiber of my being and will make sure that anyone that has a broken appliance will not use them. To top it off, their site is so screwed up that it give you an error trying to log back in. I ended up having to create THREE different accounts because every time I went to place a new order, it would not let me login and it would not send a password reset email. DON'T GET RIPPED OFF."

"This is the first online review I've ever written -- my experience with this company was that bad. Three aspects that deserve attention: 1) I placed an order and tried to cancel six minutes later. Turns out they don't accept cancellations. 2) I couldn't find a phone number, so I had to work the return/refund by email. The exchange was painful -- so unhelpful I felt like I was interacting with a bad chatbot. 3) I ended up eating shipping costs (expected) and got hit for a 50% restocking fee (unexpected) because I refused the package instead of paying to ship it back. Didn't matter that it went to the correct address, was clearly labeled, and had prior return authorization. So I ended up with a $21 refund on a $60 order, and a lesson learned about where not to buy appliance parts."

If your microwave keeps tripping the breaker, your first instinct may be to repair it, but it might make more sense to replace it. On average, microwaves last about seven years, although they can last as long as 11. If your unit is pushing a decade and has seen better days, consider replacing it (if your budget allows).

The cost to buy a new microwave depends on the type of unit you plan to buy. A regular countertop microwave costs between $50 and $500 while combo microwave ovens can cost as much as $3,500.

Whether or not it’s safe to use a buzzing microwave depends on what’s causing the noise. If a loose fastener or a dirty cooling fan is the underlying issue, it’s safe to use your microwave, although you may do damage to the fan motor if you don’t clean the blades first. If the issue is stemming from something else, you could do further damage to your appliance and potentially even start a house fire if you don’t repair it before continued use.
