Awesome! Mark and his guys were just amazing to watch in action. My roof has a crazy steep pitch, and to watch them hanging off ropes and going at it was something to behold. They had that thing stripped in no time, and loaded well over 100 bundles of shingles on the roof. Skylights out and replaced better than new, then it was on to shingles which was done in no time. Best part was the selection of products with Mark. Lots of choices, explanations between products, and no pressure on what to choose, Great solid advice, even on color, with previous examples of his work to help you out. LOVE the roof, love the attention to detail. Can't recommend these guys enough!!!

This was really cool to see. My back door for some crazy reason was the only section not covered by my wrap around deck. I told Mark I wanted it to match the existing sections, and mirror the front of the house. You can't imagine the crazy angles required to make this happen. You also can't tell where he added on when it was finished!!! AMAZING!!! Not one person who has been to the house previously can figure out where they added on from. They even matched the paint and stain perfectly on poles, railings, and roof. Mark and CRC are worth every penny, and just great folks!

Outstanding! Mark was extremely thorough in explaining options, costs, advantages, etc. without pressuring you to choose. I couldn't be more pleased with the composite cedar replacement, in looks and function. He and his crew were knowledgeable, and everything was meticulously done and cleaned up afterwards.

This is the second major job I've hired Mark and his company for. He does quality work, does a good job of setting expectations, is flexible and communicates. As we discovered issues or there were changes I wanted to make to the plan, Mark was flexible and reasonable about fixing or accommodating those. I already have plans for hiring his for additional work.

Custom Renovations repaired a large crack in our ceiling, replaced 4 posts on our front porch and replaced about 10' of damaged gutter. The price was very reasonable and the work was completed on time and with satisfaction.

Mark Steck with Custom Renovations is the only contractor I use. His work is detailed. He shows up on time. His crew is professional. He is always responsive to questions and any requests. They came out and built the carport, added electrical so that we could have lights underneath, and painted it white. You know when you use Custom Renovations that the work is going to be top notch. No worry contractors is what I need in my life. I am so glad I found Mark and Custom Renovations!

It went perfectly. Had been told by others you couldn’t hang a heavy mirror or art work on wall with pocket door behind, But Mark knew exactly how to do it. Mark and his team at Custom Renovations are skilled craftsmen and take pride in doing the job correctly the first time. Have never had an issue or problem. Scheduling is difficult as he is always busy but patience pays off big time!!!

I had flooding in my basement and after the drying and installation of a sump pump system, I needed a lot of reconstruction. This involved replacing carpet with vinyl plank flooring, some framing/drywall work, painting, tiling, etc. As always Mark and his crew did a great job. In addition to making sure all the work was properly completed, everything was also left cleaner than they found it. I really appreciate the attention to detail.

We expanded a ground floor family room, which required complete exterior and interior construction, with stacked stone to match existing exterior. Existing plumbing, electrical, and duct work had to be moved around. The room has a 5x10 closet with pull-down attic door and insulted attic above. A bay build-out added space to our dining room, and we added a walk-in pantry to the kitchen. Materials were included in the total price but not broken out. The contractor underestimated either the amount of stone needed or the cost of the (available) stone required to match the existing exterior. He covered about $400 of the additional materials cost; we covered about $1000 at his request. Lesson learned: In the contract, stipulate the dollar amount designated for special materials. Other than that and some slow downs due to occasional absent workers, the job went as planned and we're happy with the result. We appreciated the daily clean-up as it was a lengthy project and just living with the upheaval was at times a challenge. Mark had a cleaning crew come one weekend to help keep things in order.

We had about 2300 square feet of textured/stamped (not popcorn) ceiling removed from a house built in 1989. The ceiling had to be sprayed down, scraped, sanded, mudded, sanded some more, and painted. We knew it would be a huge dusty mess and wondered if it would be worth it. It was sooo worth it! The interior looks new. It's not unusual to have some residual "scarring," small imperfections in the finished product, but after gazing at it for a few weeks we've seen none. It's smooth. There were a couple of spots that had to be touched up during the process, but nothing he had to come back and fix. Clean-up was well done, whether daily or at the end. The only problem was damage to walls via water stains from the dampening process. The walls were not covered well enough. But Mark took care of that -- he bought paint and painted the walls.

Excellent result. Damaged wood flooring and stair treads replaced. Stain/sealer applied.

Mark is a master carpenter. My original design was with a sloped roof, Mark recommended that he would build an apex roof. It would have been so much easier to have built the sloped one but esthetically the apex roof looks fantastic. He is capable to do just about anything, including building a hip on a metal roof.

Repair Went Well. Mark has does several rpojects for me and is always very professional.

Mark was very helpful in developing a good scope of work for an unusual need. Basically, CRC built a small closet around a water heater in the attic for freeze protection. The construction was highly functional which is what I needed and they were very tidy making zero mess in the house. They are very busy so reach out to them early to get on their schedule!

It went very well, all the work was done in one day, and it looked good. The awning install went very smooth because of the solid mounting based that CRC built.

Mark restored the exterior of my husband’s childhood home. Being an older home, there were several issues with decay that had to be addressed so new windows and siding could be installed. Mark did a great job addressing the issues and making the home look new. Very reliable, courteous and great to work with. This was our third job with Mark. I always call him first for our renovation work.

The work went perfectly. Mark and his crew were wonderful to work with and have in our home for over a week. They were extremely careful of our furniture and belonging. They left the job site spotless upon completion. Their work was excellent and having just gone through the building process with a developer and builder our faith in quality workmanship was restored. We look forward to working with Mark and Custom Renovations as we continue to improve our home.

Job was more difficult than planned/estimated and Custom Renovations Company worked tirelessly to get it just right. My railing is very nice and will last a life time.
