We are a family-owned and operated Asphalt Business serving all of our local areas and beyond. We have a wide variety of services that we offer from New Asphalt Driveway Installation to crack repair. We make YOU a Priority, at Priority!

"Hire them at your own risk. I have had their driveway installed for a few months and at first they were quick to quote and come out, they did the job fairly quickly. However getting support on the driveway they freshly installed wasn't to the standard stated. The owner mentioned adding 4in and it would settle down to about 3-3.5. About halfway out - it was as though they thinned the product to make it reach further, and you're lucky if you have a half .5 in there. I'm one of the outliers on the reviews here and I understand that. Promised 4in - settle to ~3, under delivered in later part to .5. Grass coming through edges and driveway, as not properly prepared. There are footprints from the workers in the driveway. There are ripples in the driveway. This should not occur when properly installed. If they would like to come fix these issue's I'd love to talk more on it. No response after installation, be careful, choose decisively."

Asphalt Driveways questions, answered by experts

Your driveway contractor will probably recommend that you avoid driving on your new millings driveway for up to a week. Keeping pressure off the freshy applied millings will help the driveway to bind together. While the sun is helpful for binding millings, hotter weather can actually make the curing process take longer.

Driveways should be sloped with a minimum 2% slope—anything lower will cause precipitation and runoff to collect. A 2% slope is the equivalent of a 2-foot rise over 100 feet. One quick way to check the integrity of your driveway’s slope: no more than four inches of water should collect on the surface longer than 15 minutes after rain.

On average, asphalt dries within 24 to 72 hours, meaning it’s solid enough for light traffic—walking and careful driving. Full curing—when asphalt reaches peak strength—can take anywhere from three months to a year. During that time, heavy loads and sharp objects can leave marks. Weather, asphalt mix, and thickness all affect how quickly it dries and cures. If you want your asphalt to last, treat it gently until it’s fully cured. For the best results, check with a professional asphalt contractor for their advice.

Gravel is the least expensive driveway type, costing between $1 and $3 per square foot. That said, you’ll likely need to add new gravel filling once or twice a year which can add up in additional costs over time. In addition, be prepared to regularly rake the gravel into place to keep your gravel driveway looking its best.

Even with regular maintenance, most driveways don’t last much longer than 30 years. Alligator cracking is a clear warning sign that your driveway’s foundation is failing, and cracks that are deep and wide can let water in, causing more damage. Standing water is another red flag. If your driveway doesn’t drain properly, it’s going to degrade slowly. Finally, if you’re seeing dips or uneven patches, that’s a sign the base layer or soil is shifting. If these issues pop up, it’s time to replace your driveway.
