We have had a couple of Mechanical issues 1 with a broken part, and 1 with a failed switch. Both times the J & J teams showed up on time and resolved the issues as needed. "Recently, purchased a new home and was not happy with the air flow from the hvac system. Two field techs came out to look at my 20 year old system and found that the ductwork was improperly installed creating an airflow problem within the entire house. A new ductwork system was designed, adding a 2nd zone and a bypass trunk to the system. The 5 person crew arrived first thing in the morning, evaluated the system and got right to work. Before I knew it the old system was removed and the new system was being installed. Originally, I was told that it could take 2 days to remove and install the new system, but the crew did the entire job in 12 hours! Yes, they crew as onsite until 9:00 PM! The newly installed system was designed for my specific attic space and the new design makes far more sense and will provide a better flow of air throughout the home with the addition of the second zone. "During December Mel did our HVAC maintenance, diagnosed the need for and installed a new condensate pump for our downstairs system and added a UVC germicidal system for our new upstairs HVAC system. "Our 7yr old HVAC system fizzled out over the weekend. I called Advanced Air at 8:30 am Monday morning and Ronnie fit us in the schedule. A lengthy diagnosis & multiple ways trying to save our unit proved fruitless. He patiently walked me through the problem and explained in detail/layman's terms what was wrong and the probable cause. Hard lesson learned as it turns out that we had not serviced our AC in ~18 months and we were so low on refrigerant that a line overheated and burned out the fan and the compressor. "Mike was very professional and knowledgeable. He came out, surveyed the house and discussed my options and the work to be performed. His proposal was done on-site within about 5 to 10 minutes. After he gave me the proposal, he asked about staining my decks (I was going to do it myself and the materials were sitting on the porch). I advised him I was going to do it after I returned from vacation. He offered to take care of it for me, along with the painting, for no additional charge.
After I received a quote from a competitor (he knew who I had called w/o me telling him), I accepted his quote. Mike was out the next day (Friday) and power-washed the house. He returned the following Monday and painted the house and stained the deck.
While Mike impressed me with his professionalism and quick response - he's got very good customer service skills - I'm a little disappointed in the work due to the fact he didn't scrape and clean up the paint that had chipped away. If I had to do it again, I would make sure this was a part of the deal.
It may be partly my fault for not making it 100% clear this was part of my expectations. However, at the same time, I also feel he could have brought it up as well. For the price he charged, I really can't complain too much, considering he came in $2400.00 below his competitor (who didn't mention painting and scraping either) and the house looks good except for chipped sections.
No matter - i would still use him again - and will.
As a side-note, I found out Mike has other connections for handyman work and I'll more than likely go through him just simply because he's gained my trust.
