Very disappointing. I am a 100% disabled VET with health issues. I contacted the company and explained I needed HVAC service. A tech came out and would not inspect my system because it was raining. I purchased a maintenance contract so myself and wife would not need to worry about the system. The tech for the service appointment never showed up. When I called the company to address the situation I got nothing but attitude from the night supervisor. I was told they would send an emergency tech out. This is the next day and still have not heard from them. Still bad health and still no service. Think twice before contacting this company if you need service prompt and professional. A suggestion to Vets,Go to a professional HONEST company for your service.

During December Mel did our HVAC maintenance, diagnosed the need for and installed a new condensate pump for our downstairs system and added a UVC germicidal system for our new upstairs HVAC system. We always request Mel for his expertise, knowledge and willingness to explain, and he always does an excellent job. We also had a new upstairs HVAC that was installed by Robbie and John and subsequent duct cleaning and disinfecting by Thomas. They all did an excellent job and were good and patient at explaining, answering questions and cleaning up the work area.

Purchased a new system from them 4yrs ago and an electrical part failed causing the system to not cool. Service was prompt and they diagnosed the problem, took pictures, and walked me through the issue. They came up with preventive solutions too. Parts were under warranty, but labor was on me. Overall, I am very satisfied with the work. They are not the cheapest around, but very quality work. Been a customer for about 6 yrs.

I don't recall the price. It was likely for a whole electric inspection kind of thing or maybe to look at the actual system. Everything was good. I remember he was good. He had a lot of little suggestions that I didn't do for the little things. I didn't take any of that. He was very responsive. They called me a number of times before coming and the person was on time. He was good. I had a thing that we wanted to change. He tried quite a bit to do that, although it was not part of the description. He called other people and figured out it could not be done so he left it. The point was that he tried. He went out of the way to do that additional stuff, but he did not charge for that. He didn't do it actually, but he spent time trying to do it.

The have a 90-day guarantee that they did not stand by. I paid over $400.00 for service that only lasted 30 days. They sent some else out who wanted to charge me 1800.00 to fix the problem. When I told them I wanted to get a second opinion they offered to refund my original 400.00. I got two other opinions that both wanted close to the same amount around $800.00. I picked one that had an A rating on Angie's List.

I think that the C&C Myers crew is a very knowledgeable group, they have fixed my HVAC unit before when I needed it done quickly. This year they were here for my annual check up, and I was unconcerned because my system was running fine. I figured they would check my systems and may pitch me one or two fixes that would keep my HVAC running in tip top shape. As we looked at each unit, the tech mentioned some minor issues that were not severe, and a couple things that he recommended to be replaced. After that, he sat in his van for about 30 minutes getting five options together ranging from over $1,600 to just under $500. I didn't mind that because I know some people would pay for all of it just to have everything running new, but again, my HVAC was running fine. So he walked me through the different options and as I declined each one, we reached the last option, "the band-aid plan". I was considering doing about half of that plan but when I hesitated on the second half of the plan, the tech asked me, "If I can get the price down on that second half, do you think we could do that today?" I said it was possible and he said, "Well let me call the office to see if we have any specials going on." I did not really see a need to stop him here, but I was thinking.... why didn't he call the office while he was in the van pricing everything out for any specials? Kinda suspicious. So he got out his phone and called into the office where he spoke to the receptionist briefly before being forwarded to "management". While being forwarded, I could hear the tech turning down the volume on his phone (it's not subtle when someone does this on an iPhone) so I could not hear the other end of the conversation. Then when someone else started talking on the other end, the tech asked about any specials, but never mentioned the part I "needed" even after telling me that he was calling in about a specific part. There was a pause on the other end of the phone and then they said, "You can do 30". The tech acted pleasantly surprised, thanked "management," and hung up. Then he told me he could take $30 off of the $198 for the part. When I told him that wasn't enough for me to make it happen today, he asked me to wait a moment while he got a new pricing list from his van. When he returned, he told me that he wasn't really even supposed to do this, but with his new updated pricing book, he could take another $60 off the price and management wouldn't even catch it. So at this point I said never mind. Thanks, but no thanks. I wrote the check for the checkup and the tech left. He even apologized and said he hope he didn't offend me. Why apologize if you are not doing anything wrong? This is upsetting. First, I am proposed a $1600 plan that has a lot of unnecessary extras in it. Then when I am looking at some realistic options, I realize that the price sheet is not based on any real numbers because apparently they can be changed at the discretion of the tech depending on how close they think they are to a sale. If the tech had brought me less options and for a more reasonable price, I would have considered each option more seriously. And if he had given me one honest recommendation on what needed to be done, I probably would have taken it and worked with him that same day. I sincerely hope that his dishonestly was not encouraged by the management of C&C Myers. I know I cannot fix my HVAC unit myself and for that a reason, I rely on the integrity of companies like C&C Myers to tell me the facts and cut out the rest of the nonsense.
