"An amazing experience. My 50 year old bathroom hid one problem after the other and the young couple who tackled everything did a beautiful job, quickly, efficiently and with a really pleasant attitude. Now I have a good looking, roomy shower in place of a frightening old bathtub. The pricing was right on point. All very professional. Thank you!"

Small jobs welcome

"We recently used Timber Wolf Floors and Construction for painting in our house. We were so pleased with Kevin and Johnâ s work, we expanded the scope of our project to include more painting and a new backsplash for our kitchen. Kevin was knowledgeable and has a strong eye for detail, which we really appreciated. He was extremely neat and precise with all the nooks and crannies of the molding. He also painted crisp lines along the edges of walls. We felt like he took his time in doing thorough work-he was also very patient in listening to any questions we had. He was very responsive in getting back to us with questions we had before starting the work as well. We will definitely use him again the next time we have a project."

"Garage Kings were great to work with; I had to reschedule several times due to weather and prior commitments and Jesse was always accommodating. I received an email confirming our appointment today, and the crew called to let me know they were twenty minutes away. As far as the work it's spectacular, the crew worked nonstop all day to finish the job. I highly recommend Garage Kings for the quality and reasonable price."

Epoxy Flooring questions, answered by experts

Since epoxy products are hazardous to handle, it’s best to leave this job to a professional epoxy flooring contractor. These flooring professionals will have the appropriate protective gear to stay safe during the application process and will use the correct tools needed for the job. In addition, if not correctly applied, the epoxy won’t harden correctly, causing performance issues. Hire a professional epoxy flooring contractor to guarantee a smooth, even finish for your flooring.

You can whiten concrete for unsealed and unfinished concrete with a solution or either muriatic acid or bleach and water—but never both. However, if your concrete does have a stain, finish, or polish, keep in mind that these hard chemicals could damage the topcoat. Your best bet otherwise is to power wash outdoor concrete slabs or clean indoor ones with a gentle cleaner such as laundry or dish detergent.

Whether it's better to stain or paint concrete depends on your budget, desired aesthetic, and DIY skill level. Generally, staining is a more durable option because the stain soaks into the concrete's surface and won't wear away like a topical paint coating. Painting concrete can trap moisture underneath the paint layer, which may cause the concrete to deteriorate over time. However, concrete paint offers a wider variety of colors, is typically easier and less expensive to apply, and is effective at covering up existing stains or blemishes on the surface.

The actual moisture level that is acceptable for your concrete floor depends on what primer or flooring material you plan to install above it. For this reason, you should check the manufacturer’s instructions for the exact details.

Generally, the moisture levels should be 3.5% to 4.5%, although it does vary. Some products can handle higher levels of moisture, so you should always test your concrete before purchasing your flooring materials.

A concrete seal can protect your garage floor from water and stains as can an epoxy coating. The main difference is that epoxy is much more durable and better for heavy-duty wear and tear—it’s used in more industrial and commercial settings. If you’re just using the garage as storage for tools and your car, concrete sealer will do just fine. But if your garage doubles as a workshop for side projects and auto repair, epoxy will hold up better.
