we are a family owned company in Summerville sc for over 20 years in same location.we enjoy helping customers with there glass needs .I have 30 yrs experience in glass repair. call us for a free estimate over the phone. we buy some of our glass in cases and pass the saving on to you.

"I would give less than one star if I could, I do not recommend this business at all. I had Bill come to my house to give me an estimate on some windows that appeared to have the gas seal broken. Bill gave me an estimate and I ordered the glass for the window repair. About a week later I learned my homeowners association was willing to have someone come assess the problem with the windows and that they may be covered under a law suite against the builder. I consulted with my homeowners in the past about my window problem before calling Bill and they originally would not cover repair. A contractor hired by HOA came to look at window problems and found big issues with builder installation so windows are being covered. I called Bill to ask him to cancel the order if he could and he immediately became agitated and refused. I felt an obligation to pay him something towards the window order but he would not work with me at all. I asked if he could at least allow me to pay him at his cost for the windows that I did not need and he said no this is a retail business and that I would have to pay retail prices. I never signed any agreement there was no contract between us just communication through texts. I tried to be a decent person by being willing to pay him but did not get the same consideration in return. I ended up paying full retail and walked away with nothing, I had no need for the glass when entire windows, including frames needed replaced. Bill showed no consideration for anyone other than himself!!!!!! He was very blunt, rude and obnoxious and showed no consideration in taking as much money as he could get from me and I walked away with nothing. This man has no conscience."

Glass and Mirrors questions, answered by experts

Storm door panels are typically made from tempered or laminated glass, and each type has its benefits. Tempered glass goes through a special heating and cooling process, increasing its strength and durability. It’s known for its safety features—when it breaks, it shatters into small, relatively harmless pieces rather than sharp shards. Laminated glass is made by sandwiching a layer of plastic between two layers of glass. This interlayer holds the glass pieces together even when shattered, preventing them from scattering.

Size and weight are the primary considerations when purchasing a bathroom mirror. Properly measure the mirror size that will fit above your vanity. If your vanity sits in front of a drywall without a stud available, you won’t be able to hang anything that is too heavy. Also, check the material and design. For LED mirrors, look up their IP value. The higher the number, the more resistant it is against water and splash damage.

Start by attaching the mirror to a wall stud if possible. Next, use appropriate hardware for the mirror's size and the wall material. That could look like drywall anchors, toggle bolts, or self-drilling anchors to ensure a strong hold. Additionally, D-rings or hanging brackets are more secure than a nail. You can also use mirror adhesive to secure small or larger mirrors with a vanity as a base.

There is no blanket number when it comes to glass thickness for soundproofing. Thicker glass does help reduce noise, but it’s only part of the solution. Most single-pane windows use glass that’s ⅛” to ¼” thick. While increasing the thickness can cut down on sound, the real noise-blocking power comes from stacking layers. Double—and triple-pane windows are far more effective for soundproofing. The combination of mass and separation breaks up sound waves better than thick glass could on its own.

Recycled glass is a durable and sustainable countertop material that lends a unique look to any kitchen or bathroom. Whether or not it’s the right choice for your home hinges on your design preferences and budget. However, for many, it’s an excellent option to make your kitchen stand out if you don’t want to go with an option like quartz or quartzite.
