He was excellent at communicating issues, like a busted heat sensor on a can light fixture and a compatibility problem with my TV mounts. In the case of one of the mounts, he even disassembled the mount to make it easier for me to return. Alex was also good at pointing out design concerns (e.g. - a can light a little too close to a fan) and proposed an alternative setup.
