"Image Works refinished my deck--power washed, sanded and painted. Frank and Mike did a terrific job with the painting even with uncooperative weather. Thanks so much to everyone at Image Works! My deck looks brand new!! I would definitely hire them again and I tell my family and friends about them."

"My husband and I had a more complex project, which included painting the inside of a 5200 square feet house, staining beams and staircase, and adding additional work as the project went on. CertaPro was very professional, reliable, and took pride in their work. They were helpful in guiding us on our project in terms of what colors, stains, and additional ways to add extra character to our home. They even helped correct uneven walls, cracks, and baseboards. We are obsessed with how our home looks and will definitely use Craig and his team again! Definitely recommended!"

"This was a 3 week project and this was the second time we have asked Paul to paint our home.  When we bought the house, it had been painted which was unfortunate because it was cedar and should have been stained.  The paint would not stay on the house until we had Paul paint it.  He found the proper primer that adheres to the wood/paint and allows the paint to stay on and look good.
This time, he had a new crew foreman, Bill, who was wonderful.  He made sure everything was done properly and didn't leave until the work was completely done.  Everyone showed up on time and worked the full day.  Paul came by every few days to make sure he was pleased as well.
This is a BIG job and while we got tired of having workman around, (we had the interior painted as well) they couldn't have been more courteous and helpful.  We are truly pleased with the work.
They also did some carpentry work, replacing boards and they even found some rotting boards due to a bathroom vent that had been closed up behind some exterior planks.  The vent was completely mis-installed and they put in a new vent not he outside and painted it to match the house.  Paul came by the day the job was finished to inspect the work.  The few areas that he saw that (that we didn't really notice) he made note of to have fixed.
Usually, for house projects we get several bids but quite honestly, we think Paul's work is so good, that when we need painting, we just call him.  The price seems fair for the amount of work and quality that they provide.
I don't think anyone would be disappointed with this company.  Ihighly recommend them."

Deck Staining questions, answered by experts

Hot, intense sunshine can cause your stain to dry too quickly, which could lead it to look uneven or patchy. If you’re staining the deck during hotter months, it’s best to do it in the morning or evening once the wood has had time to cool down. If you’re staining in cooler weather with less sunshine, the time of day won’t make as much of a difference.

It’s a good idea to sand your porch before painting. This will remove loose or chipped paint and debris, and give you a cleaner surface so that your new paint goes on smoothly. But if the existing surface is in good condition, it’s not necessary to sand your porch before you paint.

When applying multiple coats, wait four to six hours for each coat to dry. Not waiting long enough can result in streaks, peeling, and uneven color. Plus, it will be more difficult to discern where the second coat has already been applied.

Various kinds of substances and deck preservatives act as protective coatings for wood to prevent rot, which is caused by water getting into the wood and creating cracks and splits. Stains, paints, and sealants are the three best options to protect your wood, but there are also oils, varnishes, and waxes available. You’ll need to reapply sealant at least once per year, and you should inspect your wood deck regularly to look for signs of damage or general wear and tear.

Yes, it's a good idea to sand the wall with fine-grit sandpaper after spackling, especially if you plan on painting. You can do this by hand or using a sander, but the idea is to ensure the spackle is flush with the wall. Sanding will give your wall a smooth, uniform finish and help your paint and wallpaper stay put.
