Mr. Adams and his team were very professional . Their work and clean up was very neat and they were most cooperative. They did not mind a suggestion or correction and made sure the customer was satisfied. I will be contacting them when I need the inside of my house painted.

The work performed was decent, but the job took twice as long as they said it would (6 days instead of 3). However, they dripped paint on my wood floors and a rug and didn't clean it up and they used my living room that had a door and was not part of the job as their storage/prep room and left it a dusty mess. I had to do a significant amount of cleaning after they left that I did not appreciate. And an antique stained glass window in the stairwell they painted was accidentally broken while they did the work. I took an afternoon off of work to have the window repaired, but the owner refused to take responsibility for it or apologize.

"The job did take longer than expected. A painter was off sick. I can't control that. There was one small spot of spackle on a rug. She cleaned it that evening. From her statement, it sounds as if we neglected to clean it or were unwilling. On the wood floor, I think there was one small spot of paint. That was it. We were very willing to clean this up too. It's not like we had a lot of paint on things. We applied tinted polyurethane to a wood hand railing at the end of our last day. Polyurethane tends to run. It ran down some spindles. I told her that we would come back to remove it. She said it was no problem for her to clean it off. She persisted in saying it was alright, that she would take care of it. This was not mentioned in her statement. We used a room off the hall to keep paint and supplies because there was no room in the hall where we were working. The door to this room was kept shut while we sanded the spackling (which created dust). When we opened this door to get supplies, dust floated in. But, when we were done, she said , "I cannot believe how clean they got that room". You wouldn't know this from her statement. She said there was still dust between the couch cushions which she cleaned, and she took 2 coats with dust on them to the cleaners, which I willingly knocked off the bill. I also reimbursed for her time to clean between couch cushions and time to take the coats to the cleaner. We will take extra steps in the future to keep dust from spreading. Finally, and this is where things fell apart, she thinks we cracked a stained glass window which was up high on a high stairwell wall. The supervisor of the crew couldn't see the crack until she pointed out exactly where it was. He thinks it was already there. If we had caused it, I think we would have known. She just took money off the invoice to have her stained glass window repaired. I wish her well, but don't think we deserved an F rating, and ask her if she would consider revising her review."

Pressure Washing, Exterior Painting
I used Doggrell Painting when I had our the outside of our house painted about 12 years ago, so I knew their work. The owner came out, inspected the property, asked a few questions, then explained what he recommended (which did not involve repainting the entire house). The bricks were going to be power washed to remove dirt, then loose paint on the bricks and trim would be scraped, primed where necessary and then painted. The team was very professional and worked quickly and efficiently. Painting our three bedroom two story (three stories in the rear) home took two and a half days, and at the end of each day, the crew put their equipment away so our yard did not look like a construction site. I appreciated that they really respected our property. Plants and shrubbery growing near the house did not get covered with paint. I would recommend Doggrell Painting to anyone, and look forward to using them again when our house needs a new coat in 2030.

When Paul came to our house to give us an estimate (on time as scheduled) he told us his goal for every job is to have his client say, at the end of the job, “Paul Adams is my painter.” Our job is complete and we can unreservedly say, “Paul Adams is our painter.” Paul and his crew are highly skilled and focused craftsmen who approach their work with determination and genuine pleasure. The entire process proceeded in an orderly manner, from the clear and detailed contract, the careful preparation of our living spaces, the morning and afternoon progress updates, to the finishing touches, clean-up, and conclusion. We were glad to welcome these gentlemen into our home.

Brian responded promptly, within a few days called with an estimate and explained what they would do and the benefits they offer (own painters, experience). Price was very competitive and he was professional. Due to other circumstances ,beyond my control, l I hired someone else to do the job...ordinarily they would have gotten the job. I would recommend talking with them, as my experience was very positive and any future painting needs will include them.

All advance communication was entirely smooth. Paul's expertise even helped us think through a few lingering decisions related to surface sheens and color placement. The crew arrived on-time each day & completed on schedule. Throughout both painting & clean-up, they were courteous & highly professional, making it easy to live around ongoing interior work. During Paul’s walk-through with me close to completion, his eye for fine-tuning details was outstanding. The completed project is truly an even more beautiful transformation of the space than we’d hoped it would be! We’re now looking forward to a much larger exterior job that Paul Adams Painting will be doing for us in mid-September!

Brian and his crew have done a great job. The first job that they did was fixing some plaster and painting the interior of a rental property. That went well, so recently he painted the exterior of the same property. His bids are detailed, and that makes it easy to compare his bid with other bids. For example, he let me know that a handrail needed to be replaced. His bid was reasonable, and he didn't charge more than his bid. He completed the job within a reasonable time after we agreed on it. He communicated well, for example, letting us know what dates the crew would be working. They also cleaned up the area after the work.
