"Ian Walker was the DaBella rep who did the inspection and showed us what exactly they do as a company. It wasn't our cheapest bid but because Ian spent so much time with us to help us understand and get comfortable with our purchase. Ian also showed us several choices in shingles so we could pick a style that wasnt like all of our neighbors. While the price was shocking, it was worth biting the bullet now instead of when the roof came in while sleeping.

"The Arizona company, My Computer Works, is in a class of itself. Once you understand the working of it, through the Queue system, when working with Male or Female, all English speaking! they will answer all your questions. I had a major mess with my computer and hacked, they resolved and back on the road again. They spotted the Default in my previous hard drive and the possible of over heating with the tower, and all was resolved. I would as a blind person, and even not as a blind person Highly recommend this company! Very easy to work with! Well worth the money! For the year coverage and 24 hours a day! "There were many things wrong in my computer (my fault and letting grandchildren on computer) Robert was so helpful, gave me many good instructions to keep everything safe, which I have written down, feel like I have a new computer. He was so excellent and experienced, took his time and was meticulous about what needed to be done. He was a pleasure to work with and I will use this company again! Linda Disy"

Electrical questions, answered by experts

If a 240V appliance is connected to a 120V outlet, the lower voltage will cause that appliance to receive insufficient power. This may result in reduced performance, malfunctions, or even damage to the appliance's components. Depending on the size of your electrical circuit, you’ll likely need to reset a tripped circuit breaker at the very least.

Unless you’re a licensed electrician, you should not DIY any electrical work in your home. Working with wires and electricity is potentially dangerous to both you and the structure you’re working on, and it could lead to house fires or electric shock if you’re not 100% sure what you’re doing. There’s a big difference between changing a light switch cover and rewiring an entire home. If you’re staring down a potentially difficult electrical job, give a pro a call.

Smart light switches are designed to work with most traditional light fixtures and wiring. However, there are several compatibility factors to consider. Some smart switches require a neutral wire to function, which may not be present in older homes (typically built before 1985). If you plan to use a dimming feature, ensure your LED bulbs are specifically the dimmable type. Additionally, a stable Wi-Fi connection is necessary for remote control, though some models may use other standards like ZigBee, which would require a compatible smart home hub.

You can use a double-pole switch for a regular light fixture, but it's unnecessary and won’t be the most efficient choice. A single-pole switch works perfectly for standard lights. Double-pole handle high-power appliances that require both hot wires to be disconnected. Using a single-pole switch for regular lights is more cost-effective, simpler, and more common in residential settings.

In the United States, home outlets support a standard 15 amps, but you can upgrade per outlet if necessary. Most single-family residential homes have a maximum overall amp rating, usually 100 to 200 amps. Very old houses may have less than 100 amps, but that’s rare. Large homes often come with amp services above 200 amps to support modern lifestyles.
