"They removed the bad pieces of trim and wood siding on my home. Then they covered the siding with Raindrop, water protective weather wrap, waterproofed around all my windows, custom cut and installed all the trim around the windows, doors, hose bibs, electrical outlets, and where the heat pump connections were. They installed new porch lights, replaced one window and added pipe to the hose connections. They installed all the siding and trim on my home. They kept the work site neat and picked up. They were professional and very friendly and did a wonderful job. Dave and Cody are an excellent team. I am so happy with the appearance of my home now and have gotten many compliments on great it looks now.  During the last big storm, we were so pleased with how it deadened the noise of the wind and the rain. I haven't had to turn on my heat yet because the house has stayed nice and warm. I am looking forward to a drop in my electric bill.  I would recommend the DaBella Exteriors company to anyone considering updating the exterior of their home. I absolutely love my new siding. Thank you RJ, for coming out and talking to us and explaining the pros and cons of your product, the benefits, the guarantee, taking your time to answer all my questions and for working with me. I appreciate all of you."

"I was contacted by a Tech at the assigned time and had to run to the store for a cable I needed. When I called back, I had a different Tech, but he was able to continue right where I had left off. There was no need to explain anything again. Awesome."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

Leaving lights on raises the electric bill, but not as much as having high-wattage light bulbs. The best way to save on electric costs is to swap your light bulbs to LED or CFL bulbs that use far fewer watts. You can also use smart lights and light switches to control usage via a smartphone or voice-controlled device.

The average radon mitigation system uses about 876 kWh of electricity per year, although the exact amount of electricity used will vary depending on the size of the radon fan. Once the system is installed, the annual increase to your energy bill could range from $30 to $300 per year, again depending on the size of the fan.

You can bury underground electrical wire six inches deep—but only if you use a rigid metal electrical conduit. For rigid, non-metallic conduits, bury the wire at least 12 inches deep. If using an underground feeder cable rated for direct burial, you'll need to place it at least 18 inches deep, as it has no conduit for extra protection.

The light that your ceiling light gives off will largely depend on the type of light bulb that’s installed in it. If you’re looking to brighten a dark room, LED bulbs are the way to go. LED bulbs will emit the most light while also using less energy than standard bulbs. They can last up to 50,000 hours and will need to be replaced much less often than standard bulbs.

While you might not need to put lights and outlets on separate circuits, some local codes may require that you use separate circuits. Installing a separate circuit helps prevent total darkness in your home when your receptacle outlets take on too much power and blow a fuse or trip the breaker. It also costs less and is easier to simply install a new circuit.
