"Brian did excellent work on my somewhat challenging EV home charger installation. Brian /Unity will certainly be at the top of my list for my next electrical project. Also kudos for the office staff: they were very friendly and helpful."

"Diagnosed the issue as electrical. Will need to get electrician in to see where the problem is between the fuse box and the dishwasher."

"Great service. Contacted me and scheduled to come the next day. Evaluated my needs and gave me a quote. Was a little high for what I was hoping, but overall, really did get my moneys worth. Especially with electrical issues. Did a safety check of the house which also gave me peace of mind."

"Great experience with Mr. Electric in Lincoln City. Nick, the electrician who did our work was easy to work with, very considerate of our time constraints and unusual needs with an older round house home. Josy also was great in scheduling and working with scheduling the inspection needed after the work was done. Thank you both, for your help with our project!"

"This company is obviously nationwide and hires local contractors.  I trusted Agies List that all contractors are licensed, bonded and have background checks.  This person was a handyman and not qualified to wall mount, conceal wires, add electrical outlet.  He  spend five hours in my home, for a job that should have taken two hours and left the area in a disaster.  The TV was hung close to the ceiling, the wires were hanging down from the TV, and the receiver was sitting on top of a plaster box because the cord was too short.  He was obviously not qualified to install TV wall mounts.  I have photos.    As soon as he left, I called Best Buy Geek Squad.  They were able to come out the next day and mount the TV professionally.  I have used the geek squad in Virginia and they are highly qualified.  They charge more than this nationwide company but you get what you pay for.  I called Angies List the day after the disaster and said i did not want to rate this company but I wanted to talk to a manager. No one called me to apologize. I have cancelled my membership.  Do not use this company unless you can be assured that the local contractor is qualified and is licensed.  You should never let anyone into your home that has not had background checks.

"not the best experience to work with. after the presentation stating it would be "done in a day" we decided to move forward with the project the following weekend. the installer showed up and told us the info he was given by the company was not accurate to the project so he didn't do anything and said he would get back in touch to reschedule. the following Thursday my wife gets a text saying that the installer will be out on Friday. my wife took the day off of work to be there for the install. Friday mid-morning she got a text saying that the parts didn't arrive and that he will have to postpone yet again. I instructed my wife to text to inquire when the material was going to land and she was told it would land on Saturday and the installer would do the install on Sunday. Sunday morning rolls around and we get another text saying that they can't get into the warehouse to get the materials to do the job. at this point we are three weeks into this project and still no progress. the following Saturday the installers show up and demo the old tub and surround out of my house and begin the install. the installer did not get the job completed and had to come back on Sunday to finish. late Sunday evening the installer calls me in to see what he considered a job done, however I had to point out large holes in the drywall that were made and not patched or concealed, areas where caulking was missed and I even found a 3" crack in the acrylic surround material. I noticed that one wall looked weird like it bowed. he went on to say that the wall was not straight. I put a 4' level on my cupboard right next to his surround and my cupboard is perfectly plumb and so is my wall but his acrylic is bowed. I mentioned to him that it looks like it is a manufacture defect. that the material might not have been heated enough before bending which caused the bow and the crack. he looked confused and didn't seem to come up with a solution to the issue other than put some caulking over the crack, not the right solution for where the crack is located but it allowed us to use the shower. he them wanted me to sign a job complete form which I wouldn't do until the drywall, and some of these other issues were taken care of. he ordered more trim/corner pieces to cover over the bowed wall and drywall issues, the wall still isn't plumb but it is not as noticeable unless you know what you are looking for. in the mean time while I was waiting for this repair I called down to my county office to see if I need a permit for the jetted tub they installed and my county says yes since they had to run the tub on it's own circuit. my county went on to tell me that they did not see a permit request at all for anything on this remodel witch shocked me. I got in touch DaBella and asked them why no permitting has been done on this project and they didn't give me much information. the next week we ended up meeting with the local electrical inspector to clear that up. the presentation lady came back out to have us sign the job complete and I showed her the 3" crack and of course she was shocked and understood that a proper solution needs to be made. we signed the job complete paperwork with the notation the a solution to the crack needs to be dealt with. we have heard nothing from DaBella since. my recommendation to others is to hire a different contractor for their project, if you have to use DaBella you will most likely have to hold their hand and show them the right way to follow through."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

In Tillamook, areas most prone to electrical issues include outdoor outlets and lighting, crawl spaces, and basements, all of which are exposed to persistent moisture. Kitchens and bathrooms often require GFCI outlet upgrades due to humidity. Service panels in older homes may need electrical panel upgrades to meet current safety standards. Garage circuits and exterior wiring are also vulnerable and should be checked regularly for corrosion.

Helpful?

Upgrading electrical systems in Tillamook can significantly enhance your home’s value and resale appeal. Modernizing with a new electrical panel, adding whole-house surge protection, and installing energy-efficient lighting are attractive to buyers. Weather-resistant outdoor lighting and updated GFCI outlets also boost curb appeal and safety. These improvements reassure potential buyers that the home is well-maintained and ready for coastal conditions.

Helpful?

In Tillamook, signs like rusted or discolored outlets, moisture inside electrical boxes, and persistent tripping of GFCI outlets often indicate underlying problems. Flickering lights during damp weather or a burning smell near outlets should not be ignored. Homes with outdated wiring or aluminum conductors are especially at risk, so addressing these early warning signs promptly can help prevent major electrical repairs.

Helpful?

In Tillamook, the coastal environment’s high humidity and salt air can accelerate corrosion and wear on electrical systems. Using moisture-resistant wiring, weatherproof electrical panels, and corrosion-proof connectors is crucial for durability. Ensuring all work meets local electrical codes and is installed by a licensed professional helps prevent future issues. Scheduling routine electrical inspections also helps catch early signs of moisture damage or corrosion.

Helpful?

For electrical projects in Tillamook, opt for corrosion-resistant conduit, such as PVC or aluminum, and use THWN-2 or XHHW wiring for superior moisture protection. Stainless steel or galvanized boxes are ideal for outdoor and damp locations. Weatherproof covers and high-quality GFCI outlets provide added safety. Choosing marine-grade connectors and ensuring all materials are rated for coastal environments will help extend the life of your electrical system.
