"Beware of shipping issues with this company. Ordered an ice maker installation kit on 10/10/25. Shipping was due no later than 10/20 according to company and FedEx tracking. FedEx tracking showed the package at their facility for 8 days without moving beginning on 10/15. Called FedEx 3 times. Each time they said they cannot find package and I have to contact shipper. Shipper has to make a claim, they will not mark it as lost. Called Appliance Parts Pros twice. Each time they say FedEx has to mark package lost before they will do anything. They also state they have to wait 14 days from them before doing anything because of their contract with FedEx. I don't care about their contract, I want what was ordered and paid for. Just going in circles with them and FedEX. If they shipped after 14 days it would be 22 days from that point, 32 days from the date of order if they shipped it that day. "Hired or a Resident stove repair by Better Housing Medford. Angela scheduled my visit for a stove repair. She requested model number and let me know they would verify parts were available and schedule repair. We spoke Friday. Repair was done by Wednesday noon (minus weekend and holiday). Tyler was very thorough. He completed repairs requested, AND for the burner with a bad element, he made sure the electrical connection was strong. It wasn't. He fixed that too. When I asked him how he got started in appliance work, he praised his boss. Employees very nice. Great experience."

"This is the first online review I've ever written -- my experience with this company was that bad. Three aspects that deserve attention: 1) I placed an order and tried to cancel six minutes later. Turns out they don't accept cancellations. 2) I couldn't find a phone number, so I had to work the return/refund by email. The exchange was painful -- so unhelpful I felt like I was interacting with a bad chatbot. 3) I ended up eating shipping costs (expected) and got hit for a 50% restocking fee (unexpected) because I refused the package instead of paying to ship it back. Didn't matter that it went to the correct address, was clearly labeled, and had prior return authorization. So I ended up with a $21 refund on a $60 order, and a lesson learned about where not to buy appliance parts."

"Repair Clinic sent me a water intake valve that had some scuff marks and an unnecessary fixture (which I thought nothing of, assuming it had been removed from a new dishwasher). When the part did not fix my dishwasher's issue, I ordered a circulation pump, which also failed to fix the issue, so I decided to return both parts. Repair Clinic blamed me for the scuff marks and extra fixture, which is unacceptable. They referenced their return policy which states that parts which have been installed cannot be returned, and denied me any form of refund. For all I know, the water intake valve was defective, and I have no recourse. Don't put any stock in the "No-Hassle 365-Day Returns" they proudly tout on their homepage. Instead, expect finger-pointing and uncaring dismissal. You are better off with one of their many competitors."

Some common signs you have a dirty dishwasher filter are:

  • Food sticking to your dishes even after a thorough wash cycle

Not all dishwashers are 60cm wide, but that tends to be the most common size. 60cm translates into roughly 24 inches, with most home dishwashers being between 22 and 24 inches wide. There aren’t metrics available but it’s been our experience that over 90% of household dishwashers in North America are around 24 inches wide by 24 inches tall.

Leaks, poor drainage, failure to start, water not heating, and excessive noise frequently require service.

To clean an old dishwasher without a filter, start by removing the bottom rack to access the drain area. Use a damp cloth or sponge to wipe down the interior, paying special attention to the corners and crevices where food particles and debris can build up. Pour a cup of white vinegar into a dishwasher-safe bowl and place it on the top rack, then run a hot water cycle to help break down grease and grime. After the cycle, sprinkle a cup of baking soda across the bottom of the dishwasher and run a short hot water cycle to deodorize and further clean the interior. 

It's often worth fixing a leaking dishwasher, especially if it's a minor issue like a damaged gasket or clogged filter, which are inexpensive DIY repairs. However, if your dishwasher is over 10 years old or the repair cost approaches half the price of a new unit, replacement might be more cost-effective.
