"We purchased cabinets for our new kitchen and bathrooms from Larry and Angel Haynie of Big Larry Designs. I have contracted with multitude of vendors throughout my 35 years of general contracting and remodeling and have never felt compelled to write a bad review, this being my first bad review. Big Larry Designs & the Haynie’s are, by far, the worst vendor/owners I have ever done business with. That said, I do take some responsibility for the issues, as I broke my own #1 rule: NEVER, NEVER, EVER, pay a vendor in full for their product prior to delivery, especially when that product is delivered months out. A deposit is fine, full payment is a HUGE mistake. A full payment requirement puts the buyer at a distinct disadvantage when problems arise, and problems will arise. A paid in full vendor has no “skin in the game” to communicate, keep commitments, and solve issues."

If your cabinets are made of sealed hardwood, you can deep clean them using a steam cleaner, but other cabinet materials are exempt from this type of cleaning.

Replacing an under-sink cabinet floor can cost anywhere from just a few dollars to a few hundred dollars. The wide range is due to the specific circumstances your cabinet is experiencing. Simple cabinet floor replacement as a DIY task should be at most $100 for materials. However, cabinets with extensive damage or mold could require more extensive work or even replacement that could cost several hundred dollars. 

When it comes to kitchen cabinets, most homeowners opt for stock cabinetry. Not only is stock cabinetry more affordable than custom or semi-custom options, but it’s also typically readily available for a quick installation. RTA cabinets are popular types of kitchen cabinets as well, but often aren’t as durable and can be difficult to build.

You can remove stripped screws with some elbow grease and an extractor kit for severe cases. Don’t forget to purchase replacement screws or hardware. In rare cases, cabinet handles may be glued on, in which case you can use a box cutter or similar knife and a pair of pliers to carefully remove the handle without damaging the cabinet. You may want to replace those handles entirely rather than try gluing them on again.

Cabinets should last about 20 years. Of course, the total lifespan of your cabinet depends on the wear and tear it’s put through—the more use and handling, the faster it's prone to needing repair. When looking at your cabinets, look for the following to determine if they need to be repaired or replaced:
