Clooten is fine for a straightforward bathroom remodel but do not hire him for any remodel beyond the pedestrian. His primary worker Ryan- nice guy and responsive - did the plumbing, electrical and flooring. We went with diagonally laid vinyl flooring - high end and it was his first time doing this. Took him days for what a flooring pro could do in a day. Clooten?s charge for this was outrageous. We used Cambria quartz for the shower walls and vanity top. The fabricator had to straighten up one of the walls - they did that without charge. Clooten never came by to inspect the final work - very unusual for an owner. In short for straight forward jobs he is fine and reasonable. For anything more go for a more specialized contractor

RJ worked great with me even when others involved with the project were making things difficult for him. I really appreciate his patience, communication, and hard work.

Ryan Alison is a craftsman and his work is superb. Rich was right there with us during material buys and added helpful hints. Not only was the work superb, but the job was completed in record time. We are very happy and would recommend them for any job, big or small.

With the issues around the virus, Rich and Ryan took all necessary precautions for all parties to feel safe during the demolition and re-construction, worked with us constantly so the vision was competed. Easy to work with and very good communication.

Rich, from RJ Clooten Homes, did a phenomenal job on our kitchen remodel. He took our kitchen from drab and very very functional, to fab and extremely functional. He quoted us three weeks and he delivered on that three weeks. He also quoted us a fair price on a full gut kitchen remodel and he did not go over on budget. Rich was also very flexible and patient with us while we waited for our cash out refi to go through. Rich, Jordan and Ryan were a pleasure to work with and were very considerate contractors. They were always super friendly to both my husband and I and our two dogs. They were also super funny!! We also used Quality Granite and Counter Tops for all of the cabinets, countertops, and flooring and the products are just stunning. We could not be happier. After interviewing four companies, we hired RJ Clooten Homes to renovate and build an addition on our home. It was the best decision we could have made. The owner Richard Clooten was friendly, knowledgeable, prompt, efficient and courteous. He kept us informed every step of the way and communicated to ensure we were getting exactly what we wanted. We run a home-based childcare business, so Richard and his team had to work around our schedule and keep the environment safe for the children. They did so, not only during the job but also cleaning up at the end of each workday. Richard worked within our budget and even helped to reduce the cost while doing an outstanding job. We had R.J. Clooten in our home for three weeks, completely rebuilding our kitchen and dining room, floor to ceiling. New cabinets, granite countertops, all new layout for the kitchen. They installed a new gas range and sink, and stripped the old flooring down to the subfloor. We are VERY happy with their work!! Rich and his assistant Ryan did an excellent job. They showed up on time every day and got right to work. They were helpful, courteous and very understanding of our needs. At the end of the first week, all that was left to tear out was the sink and dishwasher, but they left them for us to use one more weekend. We really appreciated that kind gesture, it helped us out a lot. The refrigerator was still usable for us as they moved it about to keep it out of their way when necessary. They cleaned up their debris every day, both inside and out where they cut the wood and granite to size. They put up a barrier to prevent most of the dust from migrating into the house. Both Rich and Ryan went out of their way to keep us happy, and went with us to various stores to select the correct items we needed for the job. They were very patient with us. We had a great rapport with them and enjoyed the joking and banter and friendly camaraderie. We would recommend R.J. Clooten without hesitation. You will not be sorry you hired them.
