The contractor examined my situation and talked with me at length. Though he gave me a quote and was willing to do the repairs, he actually ended up giving me valuable advice about how I might solve the problem myself and where to seek alternative flooring materials that I ended up purchasing. I felt like the contractor really gave an unbiased opinion which, in this case, didn't end up leading me to use his services. However, I appreciated it greatly
- Lo's Contracting, Inc.After numerous bids my husband and I decided to go with Lo's based on their reviews, responsiveness, professionalism and estimate. We were very happy with their service from start to finish. Lori (Office Manager and a whole lot more) and Amadou make a great team that results in quality communication, clear expectations and friendly service. From the start, Amadou cleary communicated what needed to be done to prepare our basement for waterproofing, then what steps would be taken to get it to a fully finished state once done. We were working under tight timelines from the waterproofing company and Lo's was extremely flexible to ensure all the prep work was done on time. They were forced to move some work out due to unexpected delays from the waterproofing company and they were very accomodating to this....despite being busy with other jobs. They started by removing most of the drywall in our basement, as well as the framing, insulation and carpet. Work and cleanup was quick. Finish work went smoothly; this included rebuild of framing, new insulation, new drywall, new molding and interior painting. Staff was on time and friendly, they even allowed me to make changes along the way. On a final note, after having numerous contractors to our house for misc projects/updates, Amadou was present through the entire process and stopped by most days to inspect work. After completion I had an additional request for a minor bit of work (hour max) on something and he offered to come out and have it completed free of charge. I would highly recommend Lo's. Quality work and professionalism through and through. Thanks guys

We had talked to two other contractors and there proposed solutions ranged from a $2000 fix (replacing step) to a $5000 option (that wasn't even in the area of the leak). Amadou included a replacement option (at a slighty lower price), along with two other options for us to consider (with varying price points)
- Drainage Masters LLCOur basement flooded in January 2021. Drainage Master was one of 3 estimates we obtained. Seth inspected the situation and suggested and exterior drainage system The our two estimates we for interior systems with a sump pump. The other two companies would not provide an estimate for and exterior system. Also the estimate did not include the cost to repair damage the installation of an interior system would do to a finished basement. The crew was great the foreman answered all of our questions the job was done on time and in budget. I would highly recommend them

The initial project wasn't done the way it was portrayed to me by the design specialist (and the way we had the work contract written up). I had written a review highlighting my frustration and Terra Firma was very quick to get in touch with me to discuss how to rectify things. The work they had done looked to be done well and that I had acknowledged in my first review, it was simply a discrepancy between the project discussed and the project as installed. They have now come up with a solution to finish this crawlspace waterproofing project completely in a way that will turn my mixed experience with them into a very positive one. I intend to further update this review once the job is complete in the coming months. For now I must say I am very impressed with their dedication to customer service and satisfaction and their willingness to turn a potentially bad interaction into a pleasant experience and a winning solution. - TerraFirma Foundation SystemsWe had the estimate completed over a year before we called back to schedule and they were happy to hear from us and got us scheduled right away. They were booked over a 6 weeks in advance, due to th start of raining season, but showed up on the exact day they had scheduled us. They completed the work much more quickly than originally estimated (less than one day vs two) so less time off work. Their crew cut concrete to install the water guard system but the area was amazingly tidy after they left. Half of our basement is finished, and they were working in the unfinished area, so we were worried about dust getting around but they kept the door closed, worked very efficiently through the windows in the unfinished area, and took care of business. Since then, we have no longer had water problems during heavy rains

"I researched 4 companies to fully encapsulate a crawlspace damaged by flooding and rats. I also did a lot of research into possibly doing it myself so i knew what to look for. John's was the most expensive, but they were all in the same general ballpark. I was put off by some of the competitors marking insulation as "extra" and not including in their initial estimate. Insulation is required! John's costs a bit more but you get more too: John's insulated the entire floor with wrapped foam pads, dug a drain trench around the entire perimeter, jacked up every concrete pier to slide vapor barrier underneath the posts, and used proper mechanical fasteners on all of the wall insulation boards. Every nook and cranny was sealed with spray foam. The workers were amazing. They did not cut any corners. They nipped and tucked every tight little spot and never complained or made excuses. They built a plastic clean-tunnel every day and took it down down every afternoon. They did not leave behind trash. My crawlspace is clean enough to literally eat off the floor now. I would recommend John's if you want your job done correctly.

"This is an update to my prior review. I'm unable to remove my prior review on 8/18/2022. At first I was not very happy with the last minute cancellation of the job after I had waited almost 2 months. I'm pleased to say that they came out to take another look at the job and we discussed their concerns. We came to a solution to wait for cooler days and test a few low risk areas with a different type of foam before deciding if we should attempt areas. When the team arrived to do the job they were very professional, methodical, and did a fantastic job on the whole project. I could not be more pleased with the results. Please know that despite my earlier impression I've come to know this local team as one that is willing work through challenges and genuinely seek 100% customer satisfaction. They can add me to their list as a very happy customer that will recommend them to others.

"I had Drainage Masters come out to patch and seal three cracks in our basement and crawlspace foundation that leaked during heavy rain. The crew was on time, super polite, and shockingly efficient. I appreciated their attention to detail as we reviewed the scope of work, and how they ensured I was satisfied and had my questions answered before they left.
