Ted Rudiger Jr. Excavation has been in business since 1952 and is a third generation family owned company. We serve the demolition and excavating needs of the Portland metro area providing full excavation, demolition, site work, sewer lines, concrete work, ponds and waterfalls. Payment 1/2 down, final down due upon completion of project. We do take credit cards!

" In 2011, we bought a house in Portland. The fuel tank had been checked as decommissioned by Dana Thompson, and the soil tested as zero contamination at both tank ends by Soil S*******s. When we went to sell the house last Dec 2024, we were told by the same company which did the original testing, that now it was now badly contaminated. The oil furnace had been replaced by Deutsche Bank with a gas furnace before we bought it, so it became contaminated before we purchased the house. The most recent test was explained as a difference of only a couple inches between clean and badly contaminated soil and we would have to accept all legal liability to neighboring properties….a financial disaster. Ted excavated the tank with impressive accuracy with very tight house spacing. I have no hesitation in giving Ted a 5-star rating. "

I can usually give you a bid within a couple days (sometimes a few pictures text to my number will get you a bid the same day) and start the job a couple after that. I can keep my costs down due to not advertising that other companies will have you pay for. I am insured, licensed and registered with the state. I work solely on word of mouth and free places such as here and craigslist.
