At one point during the installation, I sent a few questions to the project manager (Austin) via email at around 8pm on a Friday, not expecting to hear back until Monday. "I can’t say enough good things about Patrick Bernard of Bernard Masonry. He isn’t just a mason, an artisan. He’s an artist. I wanted a brick walkway on the side of my house. Patrick was the second contractor I talked with, and after meeting him I didn’t need a third. He answered every question, allayed every concern and provided a detailed, satisfying bid. I watched as Patrick and his crew – Brandon and Tom – moved methodically from one phase of the project to the next. Patrick put down the bricks in a herringbone pattern. Each brick and part of a brick was placed very carefully and precisely. They had to take apart the fence gate to make room for the excavator. They put it back together better than it was. Patrick and one of his crew were on-site on time every morning and worked til evening. He said it would take five days, and it did. The cleanup was so thorough, there is no evidence they’d been there. Hire him and you’ll have no worries. These guys are good."
