The Pull Out Shelf Co
The Pull Out Shelf Co
The Pull-Out Shelf Company® is one of the largest custom pull-out shelf distributors in the U.S. They have been making shelves since 1993 as a family owned business. Corporate website: www.PullOutShelfnw.com We are proud to be your local dealer for the Portland/Vancouver area. We have lived in the northwest in the Portland/Camas area all our lives. The northwest has been very good to us. Our mission is to improve the quality of your life by simply creating accessibility. That is exactly what Pull-Out Shelves do. They create access to the "black hole" in your pantry and lower cabinets. By removing a center post, they create access to what seemed to be shelves behind bars. They give you access to the back of your lower cabinets without having to get on your hands and knees. You get the idea, they create access.
"Project took parts of two days. A brief visit to take measurements and a longer visit to install pull-out shelving in kitchen cabinets and closet/pantry. In all, smooth operation."

LIM'S UPHOLSTERY
LIM'S UPHOLSTERY
Lim's Upholstery has been providing quality furniture restoration to our Portland area clients for over 27 years now and during that time we have established a reputation for excellent craftsmanship and on-time performance.
"We have a leather sofa that is at least 25 years old. They are in very good condition, except that the seat cushions got very soft after all of these years, so you sat really low in the sofa. The back cushions also got a little flat and the appearance of the sofa looked a little lumpy and not very neat. We took the cushions in to see what it would cost to replace the foam and fillings in the cushions. They gave us good advice and we thought the price was very reasonable (although we did not shop around for other estimates). The Lim's were also very friendly and easy to work with. Given the price of good furniture these days, we thought it was well worth the investment to replace the foam inside the cushions. It took about a week for them to complete the job. The result was that our sofa looks and feels like it is almost new again. The seating was nice and firm and very comfortable to sit in. The new foam and fillings inside the cushions also made the cushions very smooth on the outside as the new foam and fillings got out some of the wrinkles in the leather from the old cushions becoming so soft. We were so impressed with Lim's work that we brought in the cushions from our loveseat for them to work on. It turned out great as well. We now have a sofa and loveseat that looks good and comfortable again to sit in. I would recommend this place if you ever need to replace the foam and fillings inside your sofa/loveseat cushions. It was very enjoyable to work with them and the turnaround time was excellent."

"Raleigh Hills Upholstry were very accommodating and professional. What I'd asked for first was to take care of the springs of my couch and chair. They are antiques and I wasn't ready to change the fabric. The work that was done was top notch. One dining chair had a small flaw in the material that hadn't been noticed, so when I asked for it to be redone, there was no question about taking care of it for me for free. The work was excellently done and in a timely manner."

FAQs for upholstering projects in Glenwood, OR
As with any project, weighing the pros and cons of upholstery can help determine if that is the right choice for you. The ultimate question is whether it’s worth reupholstering instead of buying new furniture. Here are a few of the benefits and disadvantages of reupholstering a piece of furniture.
Pros:
Preserving a family heirloom
Maintaining high-quality furniture in good condition
Reinventing an old piece of furniture
Keeping a piece of furniture from going to a landfill
Cons:
Spending (possibly) more than to buy a new piece of furniture
Finding out the frame is beyond repair
Waiting for the reupholstery work to be done
It can be cheaper to reupholster a chair or other piece of furniture than to buy a new one, depending on how much it costs to replace. If the chair or couch originally cost less than $300, then reupholstery may not be the cheapest option. However, if the chair is expensive, vintage, or discontinued, reupholstery can be the more affordable option. This is especially true if the piece of furniture is out-of-production or holds sentimental value.
Paying to reupholster a piece of furniture means you want to hire the right upholstery service, especially for a piece that’s expensive or carries a lot of sentimental value. In your search for the right upholstery company, be sure to:
Ask around to see if friends or family know of any upholsterers
Find reviews of the company or individual
Look at the photo gallery of their work to see if they work on furniture like yours and if you like their work
Check qualifications and references
Ask the upholstery service if they work on furniture like yours, what their schedule looks like, how they handle payments, and how long the job will take
On average, the cost to reupholster furniture is about $720 per piece. However the price range to upholster a piece of furniture varies widely from about $380 to $1,150 or more, depending on the material type and availability, repairs needed, and the complexity of the project. Fabric costs typically range from $50 to $70 per yard while the cost of labor runs from $40 to $100 per hour.
