Raleigh Hills Upholstry were very accommodating and professional. What I'd asked for first was to take care of the springs of my couch and chair. They are antiques and I wasn't ready to change the fabric. The work that was done was top notch. One dining chair had a small flaw in the material that hadn't been noticed, so when I asked for it to be redone, there was no question about taking care of it for me for free. The work was excellently done and in a timely manner.

Great! We had them reupholster a sofa before, it also turned out really well!! Both chairs were transformed from mid century to now and WOW!!

The fabrics were reasonably priced, workmanship satisfactory and job completed in a very timely manner. The owner came to my home and gave me an estimate but I had to go to their shop to look at all the fabric available. I was able to bring fabric books home to make my decision. They picked up and delivered the chairs.

They were pleasant to deal with, but I would do some comparison shopping before using this service again.

Lake Grove Upholstery is in my neighborhood--and on Angie's list and so I thought that was a great thing.I took pictures of the chairs I wanted covered and went to get an estimate-which I thought was very reasonable at $400. I purchased the fabric with their recommendation for amount needed and dropped them off soon after.The stuffing was falling out and the cats had had a great time sharpening their claws on the nubby fabric in which they were covered. They did a a fabulous job of turning those old beat-up chairs into the most lovely pieces! The upholstering was of high quality and they were most accommodating- friendly and professional. I couldn't be more pleased. I thought that the $400. was very well spent and quite economical considering that they had to add new stuffing and they even touched up the wood legs so that they don't look like they need to be used for fire wood! I have no qualms about using them again nor referring them to any of my friends.

They did a great job for less money than we'd feared, and we had the chair back in two or three days. The leather is a close match with the original. They delivered the part they'd worked on and reattached it to the wooden frame at no extra charge. The only negative note in the entire transaction was that Alex was a no-show on the Friday when he'd promised to come out for an estimate. He was swamped at the shop, he told us. But we rescheduled for the following Monday and he was here on time -- a few minutes early, even.

Alexander has been in the business 40 years and does quality work. I am completely satisfied. He was professsional in the way he helped me choose appropriate fabric and the only reason the chair was completed a week later than promised is that the material was backordered. I found him in Angies LIst and recommend him

They did a great job recovering my rocking chair cushions.

The original leather(circa 1890)was still on the chairs, and my husband and I wanted to replace it with something as close to the original as possible. Alexander knew his available choices very well; in just a few minutes he had presented several options and helped us pick out something that was, indeed, very close to the original. He quoted us a price and told us it would take 2 weeks to get the leather delivered, 1 more week for him to do the work. He called us after about 3 1/2 weeks and told us the job was complete. The work was done beautifully, and the one chair we'd left with him(to be sure the new seats would fit)was undamaged.

THEY WERE THE FRIENDLIEST COUPLE. THEY HAD AN EYE FOR GREAT DETAIL AND HAD PHENOMENAL TASTE. THEY WENT OUT OF THEIR WAY TO MAKE SURE THE PROJECT WENT WELL. THERE WAS GREAT DETAIL AND THE PATTERNED FABRIC ALL LINES UP. THEY PICKED UP THE PIECES AND DROPPED THEM OFF. THE FABRIC I CHOSE WAS BACK ORDERED, BUT THEY KEPT ME UPDATED THROUGH THE PROGRESS, SO I KNEW WHEN THE JOB WOULD BE DONE.

Great! The chairs look brand new. Alexander was nice enough to allow me to provide my own fabric when I wasn't able to find what I was looking for in his sample books. The chairs were being refinished by Lindsay at American Craftsman, who recommended Alexander. I am so pleased with Lindsay's work that I have sent several more pieces of furniture to him for refinishing, and I am taking pieces from my church that need repair and refinishing! The chairs were old castoffs from a friend, and now they look brand new! The old chairs had broken down seats. Now they are very comfortable, and they look great.

They were very friendly and came over for a quick estimate. The work took MUCH longer than originally quoted, and they were hard to get a hold of. I was starting to get worried that something had happened to my chairs. Eventually, I planned to pick them up, finished or not, but at that point, they were done. They were very attentive from that point on, offered to deliver them, and did give me a discount for my trouble. They have very good quality work. The upholstery (the original fabric, quite old) still looks good. The chairs are very stable.

We were pleased with the quality of the work done by Lake Grove. Originally, we selected a fabric that was no longer in stock, so they assisted us by searching for similar fabrics and stayed open late so we could come by and pick out a new fabric. The only negative was that the second fabric was less expensive than the first, yet our bill was not adjusted to reflect the price difference (they adjusted it slightly, but not as much as the price difference). We are very happy with the cushions that they made for us.
