"Holy cow, what do I even say about Sassafrassity and Sheressa? From start to finish this entire project has been smooth as butter and the results are beyond amazing. Sheressa is a fun person to talk to and more importantly she really knows her stuff from brands and manufacturers to all kinds of different techniques and ideas to bring things back to life. I put in her hands an old hope chest from my deceased mother that I have been carrying around with me forever. It's very special to me however it was in very rough shape. The before photo doesn't do justice to show just how much wear and damage there was. One leg was completely missing and there were a few deep cuts in the wood along with countless scratches and overall wear marks. It just looked old and tired. I don't know anything about vintage furniture so I basically said use your judgement and try to make it look like it just came off the factory floor. As you can see in the after photo she did just that. It's FLAWLESS there is not one thing wrong with it and it's beautiful and even now I still can't stop looking at when i'm near. They even rebuilt the missing leg to the point where you 90+% can't tell it's a replacement and you can only tell if you saw what it looked like before and know which leg it was. I'm sure my mom would be very happy with this. I had her pick up and deliver this item as well and she took care on both visits to be careful with my heirloom. Very reasonable pricing as well although I won't quote it because i'm sure it's location based and I don't want to give implied pricing for someone way out there. Seriously thank you so so much for everything and if I decide to make my other vintage furniture items look awesome I won't hesitate to call. I still have some imported 1940's German furniture from my grandfather however those are still "working" furniture items cause of children using them. Just wait till they're older though and you'll probably have 2 more pieces coming. In closing to whoever reads this, please give this woman some business she takes pride in her work and in the age of retail apocalypse this is the kind of person and business we want to stick around and service customers."

"Song came to our home and looked the chair over. Looked for potential damages to the chair and showed us what to watch for. He explained the reason for the "noises" was the leather needed to be treated. He was honest and beyond helpful. We chose to get the conditioner and do it ourselves and he said if that doesn't handle the issue, call him and he would come back out."

"He is amazingly fast and goes out of his way to fix right the first time. We are always surprised at his work and the quality workmanship. He is careful with the bill and never overcharges, he is very fair! Thank you Tusk, we are grateful to have suck help, you are the reason we can keep our RV and make it last many more years."

We are a Mobile RV repair and installation service. Our shop rate is $100 service call and $150 an hour. That sure beats a $500 towing charge or unhooking everything to drive your rig to a far away shop so you can get on the calendar to repair your rig.

Part of the beauty of academia decor is that most textures and materials will feel right at home, provided they’re dark. Some common textures include natural wood, dark metals like iron, velvet, and leather. Incorporating these into your dark academia decor will make them look right at home. Glass is another option in some cases, so fill in gaps in your decor with small glass jars, or really lean on the gothic roots of dark academia with stained glass.

Doing your own upholstery work is possible, but it’s typically a better idea to leave the work to professionals. Without experience and the proper tools, it’s difficult to get a professionally finished appearance for your furniture, and many DIYers end up spending money on tools and materials only to hire a professional when they can’t get the fabric to look right. If you have reupholstery experience, feel free to give it a shot. However, if you’re not confident in your skill level or you’re working with antiques, it’s worth the money to hire a pro.

Regular vacuuming, spot cleaning, and protecting surfaces from sun exposure prevents wear and fading, preserving longevity.

Many upholsterers allow you to provide your own fabric, which can help control costs and ensure you get the exact style you want. Some upholsterers offer a selection of fabrics to choose from, while others may require you to purchase it at a fabric store. Be sure to check with your upholsterer about fabric suitability, required yardage, and any additional fees for using customer-supplied materials.

The average time it takes to reupholster a piece of furniture is around eight hours, but it varies significantly based on the piece. A professional can usually reupholster smaller furniture units like dining chairs or small ottomans in two to three hours, while an entire sofa might take several days or up to a week. Antique furniture tends to take longer to reupholster because greater care needs to be taken to preserve the piece. Your timeline might be a bit longer if you need other repairs done, like sanding and refinishing wood components.
