"The morning Jason arrived, I already had my cabinets emptied. He took out all my drawers and put them in the garage. He got busy working right away and worked all day. He finished the cabinet refacing within two days since I have a large kitchen. He installed the countertop as well as installed the tile for my backsplash. It went from the top of my countertops to underneath my cabinets. He collaborated with the appliance installers so all holes for appliances were the right dimensions. Jason cleaned up after himself every day and was a professional through and through. Customer service is very important to Jason and I'm hiring him to do more work in my home. He works alone and he works fast. His work ethic is very high and he prides himself on being a perfectionist. I appreciate that."

"I've had them for probably a year. I had to have them come out once and they were very good. They were excellent. They did what they said. One of the things they fixed didn't work so well and they came back immediately. It was on a garbage disposal, but they were excellent. I haven't run into any problems. The quality of work is excellent. Nice people come out. It was fine. Everything worked out really well with them. I wish it was cheaper, but what am I going to do? It's within my reach. I'm retired and I don't have a budget. It's still reachable. It's understandable, even though you don't want that."

"I recently contracted with Deer Haven to do a variety of jobs on a house I am renovating.  This included demolition, floor repair, wall repair, installing cabinets, and a host of small miscellaneous items recommended by the home inspector retained during the loan process.
I am very satisfied with Deer Haven, Victor and his crew.  They were on time, courteous, worked hard and accomplished all their work, as expected, and at a reasonable cost.  The precision when installing the cabinets was exacting and facilitated a perfect installation of the countertops (by others) and appliances.
I would highly recommend Victor Wright and Deer Haven Construction.

Install Garbage Disposal questions, answered by experts

While the drain connection for a garbage disposal is nearly universal and fits standard sink drain holes of 3 1/2 to 4 inches, the size of the disposal unit itself is not. You must have enough space in the cabinet underneath your sink to accommodate the disposal's housing. A larger model may not fit in a compact cabinet or if the existing plumbing is arranged in an unusual way. Before buying a new garbage disposal, measure the available space under your sink. If you are replacing an old unit, it's often easiest to choose a new model of a similar size.

Your garbage disposal is not draining because it might have a clog due to food waste, a foreign object, grease, oil, fat, or it may have a broken motor. When water doesn't flush out of the disposal, that's a key sign that your disposal has a clog or needs repair.

It’s one thing that helps, alongside vinegar and baking soda. Ice acts as an exfoliant, helping to lift off any bits of food stuck on the disposal blades.

Most garbage disposals have a reset button that can be triggered with a tool as simple and accessible as your index finger. That said, if you need to perform a more in-depth troubleshooting step, like manually moving the arms inside the unit or rotating the impeller plate, a hex wrench is the most common tool you’ll need. Most garbage disposals come with a hex wrench.

If your garbage disposal powers up and you can hear it hum, but the arms inside aren’t moving, the problem might be a stubborn clog, a build-up of grease, or a jam of the impeller plate. To troubleshoot these, ensure your unit is off and disconnected from its power source before checking inside the drain or attempting to manually rotate the impeller arms or plate from the underside of the unit. A hex wrench can help.
