"I contacted 3 companies and they were all wonderful. They came out and gave different bids. They were all very experienced and very good about getting back to me. They were all very helpful and customer oriented. It was only for financial reasons that I had to put off the work. It was for underneath insulation like in a crawl space of the main floor. Only Alpha could do the entire job because of the skill set. They quoted me $1800 and because it was before the end of the year, there would have been a $600 tax credit. So the net cost would have been about $1200. The other 2 quotes were higher on that account. The timing of the work was based on the fact that I had a delay in updating my kitchen. I was hoping that it would be done quickly because they had to have my new sink put in and have all the new plumbing done before they could do the insulation underneath. It was a spray on thing to close up the holes in the bottom of the cabinets which were bigger than the plumbing and breached all the cold air. They were awesome. I will go to them when I have the money to get the work done. As far as affordability, overall professionalism and the fact that they could do the whole job is concerned, they were very good."

"My husband and I bought our house in June 2012. The central AC unit has been working fine, but we don't know much about it (first-time home owners) and we've never had it serviced. Portland is in the midst of unusually long-lasting hot weather so I thought it would be a good idea to have it looked it. Our AC unit would also blow normal air after being on for about 6 hours so we wanted to make sure we weren't doing something wrong. 
    I looked at the deals listed, and called around to many places to see how quickly they could come out. All other places were booked out a few weeks (understandable for summer, especially in the midst of this unusual weather). SunGlow was able to come within a few days. I did call them the next day after I purchased the deal as I did not want to wait for them to call me. 
    The technician arrived on-time which was great. He was very polite. He asked what the problem was and my husband explained to him that we are first-time home owners, we've been using the unit but don't know much about it, and that it occasionally blows non-cold air. He was nervous telling the technician that as the tech could have taken advantage of us and tried to sell us something we didn't need, as we wouldn't have known better. That was not the case, however. The technician kindly took a look at our unit and explained many things to my husband that we didn't know. Things about proper usage and how to clean the air filter. The filter was filthy and he told us how often to clean it/change it and showed us where it was. He also let us know that our unit would blow normal air sometimes because the coil that controls the temperature is pretty dirty. My husband asked if we needed a new one, and the tech said no, not for a long time. He told us that we could clean it, but to also put our unit on auto after about 3 hours of running, let it run on auto for an hour, then switch it back to on, and that would let the coil kind of reset it's temperature. That was very helpful to know.
    He was at our house less than an hour but was very helpful. We did what he said yesterday, and I do notice a difference in the temperature already. 
    We will use this company again in the future for any heating/cooling needs.

"Charles and the subs were exemplary.  They were easy to reach, pleasant to deal with, on time, flexible and hard workers.  Each day things were cleaned up so we had no trouble staying in the master bedroom through the process.  We do, however, have another bathroom.  We were prompted to have the work done when I noticed my basement shop's door was jammed and, looking up, noticed wet spots from the ceiling to the basement slab.  A prior shower remodel must have been leaking for years since, on removing the insulation, it was apparent that the plywood and 2X4's beneath the upstairs bathroom were damaged beyond use.  The repair was complicated by an attached deck and deconstruction preceded reconstruction prior to the bathroom work.  Since we needed the shower redone we decided to redo the room and are very happy with how it turned out.   I highly recommend Charles and plan to use him for future work including redoing the other bathroom."
