"Excellently! Raccoons had nested in between our subroofs and had left urine and feces all over the roof. Get Smart closed off all potential entryways for raccoons to nest on roof. Raccoons gone! They then sanitized the entire roof. Important with a 2-yo and 4-yo at home. Great job! Roughly 1.5 years later, our roof became a "latrine" for local raccoons. Not living there, just visiting at night and littering the roof with feces and urine. It was a mess. Get Smart used a series of humane tactics to keep raccoons from coming onto our roof at all. They monitored and viewed as activity decreased to 0. They then sanitized the roof to remove all raccoon feces and urine. No raccoons harmed in either process. Brandon (owner) and Get Smart stopped by frequently to monitor, and we also are extremely happy with their services for rodent, opossum and ant control. Brandon is an animal and insect behavioralist and expert, predicts and counters their next moves, and is incredibly smart, effective and humane in all practices. I'd highly recommend them for all pest control needs. Our trust is such that we now have them on a seasonal retainer to monitor and help make our home more comfortable, as we continue to reside on land native to insects and wild animals! Cannot recommend this business highly enough!"

"It worked out really good. They came and did a super excellent job. They cleaned up the yard from the winter and spring debris, trimmed all of the vines that were growing into the yard, and mowed and raked the lawn."

Bird Control questions, answered by experts

Generally, spring is the best time to hire a pest control service, but it also depends on when you notice the infestation. Insect pest numbers are lower in spring before they hatch, making the extermination and prevention process more manageable as nests and eggs of future pests are eliminated. However, don’t hesitate to hire a pest control specialist when you spot signs of a problem.

Yes, it is generally safe to return to your house once the pest control professionals have granted permission. Keep in mind that you’ll only need to evacuate your home during extreme pest control treatments, such as whole-home fumigation, while more minor treatments don’t require leaving. When you return home, be sure to follow the pest pro’s instructions carefully, especially those surrounding wait times and safety precautions.

Rabbits face a range of formidable adversaries in rural and suburban areas. Natural predators such as hawks, foxes, bobcats, raccoons, coyotes, and weasels pose significant threats to their survival. These skilled hunters target bunnies for food, contributing to regulating rabbit populations. Outdoor housepets can be enemies, too, particularly dogs and cats. And loud little humans playing in your yard make great rabbit deterrents, too.

Some of the plants listed above, like daffodils, are poisonous to many animals if eaten. But wild animals instinctively avoid them, for the most part. Household pets don’t always have the same survival instinct, which is why it’s a good idea to familiarize yourself with common plants that pose a danger to cats and dogs.

No, you shouldn’t have to worry about bats in your yard as long as they don’t make their way inside your house. Typically, bats hang around backyards in order to consume bugs, especially if they’re located in the U.S. Bats that are native to North America can consume more than 500 bugs per hour, so they may actually benefit your yard if mosquitoes are prevalent.
