Viking has been in business in Eugene Oregon since 1960; locally owned and operated. Our staff of 5 has more than 75 years of collective experience in our product lines. We sell and service all types of sewing machines, sergers, embroidery machines and vacuum cleaners. We carry parts for all brands of sewing machines and vacuum cleaners. We sell and service Softub brand spas/hotubs. We sell a wide variety of wood stoves, gas stoves, pellet stoves, fireplaces and accessories. We subcontract service and installation of our hearth products. We have several financing options available and also accept cash, checks and all major credit cards. We have sales and promotions throughout the year. We display twice per year (spring and fall) at the Lane County Home & Garden and Home Improvement Shows. We offer classes with the purchase of new sewing machines and also host a bi-monthly Viking Sewing Club.

For one, natural gas is more affordable than electricity, meaning your wallet might see an overall savings over time. It’s possible to convert an electric dryer to a gas dryer, but it’s not practical or cost-effective. A pro would need to remove specific components from your electric unit and install parts unique to gas dryers. Rather than going through this time-consuming process, you can remove your old electric dryer and have a pro install a new gas dryer.

The easiest way to empty a propane tank is to simply use it until no propane remains. If you’re short on time and need a faster solution, transfer the propane to another tank instead. Wear leather gloves to protect your hands, then connect the hoses from both propane tanks and seal them tightly. Turn the knob to open the supply tank valve on the full tank and let it run until the pressure pushes all the propane into the other tank. When all propane is transferred, remove the hose and seal each tank.
