This company is dishonest and engages in bait and switch. Last November (2018) I had them come out to inspect my HVAC. I got a likable and (seemingly) competent tech who did a lot of work but he did argue with me about the price of the service. In the end I agreed to a yearly contract and the coupon from Angie’s List was honored. Little did I know I had just been taken to the cleaners. Fast forward to June of 2018. I scheduled someone to come out and clean the filters (plural – there are four of them). I was quoted $19.95. I even explained to Sheena they needed to be washed and she said, “That’s Ok, it’s $19.95.” When the tech came out, (Dan Farnsworth), it was a struggle from the start. He was personally challenged physically to reach the location of my unit, which is under the house and requires crawling several feet to reach. He complained about this and after he had removed the filters, announced he couldn’t “make any money” if he only charged $19.95 and would have to charge for a “diagnostic.” I protested. He said he could charge me either $106 or $19.95 plus $79. Like anyone is that stupid. We discussed this some more and he called his boss. The agreement we reached was I would clean the filters (they take several days to dry), and pay $19.95 for his removing them and $19.95 when he came back to reinstall them. When I called to schedule the reinstall Ms. Shenna informed me I had a balance of $60 due. I explained that Dan had called his supervisor and that the agreement we reached was $19.95. She kept to a story of “That’s not what the paperwork says.” She then agreed to call a supervisor. When she called me back she informed me that, “Unfortunately since YOU WERE QUOTED $79.95, that’s what we HAVE to charge.” I won’t tell you what I said back because it isn’t fit to print. In summary: 1. I was quoted a price of $19.95 to clean my filters 2. After the tech arrived the price was then changed to a variety of options all $79.95 and up. 3. With consult of the supervisor the price settled on was $19.95 to remove the filters and $19.95 to put them back. 4. When I called to schedule the reinstall I was told I owed the full $79.95 and the implication was I was lying not them. Conclusion: Based on my experience these people are crooks and sociopaths. Avoid at all costs.

The HVAC system seems to operating well and overall we're pleased at this time. The initial sales person, Blake, was very thorough and very responsive. We felt he was very good at answering our questions and was clear about the system we were purchasing. The cons: -Once we agreed to the contract, responsiveness from scheduling and support staff decreased. The install went well but they were not very communicative as to when they would arrive. When the install was split into two blocks we had to reach out to them about when they were going to complete the job - we were seemingly left hanging. -They did not clean up. Insulation chunks and sawdust was present outside of the house and in the garage. -Return vents are bent b/c the installer over tightened the screws. -We were not told that insulation might come out of the supply air vents initially, so we were surprised by an insulation shower. They rectified this by offering to have it cleaned, supposedly a senior installer was training a newbie. It would have been better if they set expectations accordingly.

Our heat pump stopped working and it wasn't worth replacing it so we decided to upgrade the entire system. We called Associated to come out to review our needs and suggest replacement systems. We were open to using the same type of system as before, converting to gas or even a ductless system. We have a large house so any project would have been quite expensive. That's why we decided to get 3 proposals with Associated being the first one we called. Chris came out, spent a bit of time looking at our existing system and then we spoke for a few minutes about a ductless system. He didn't provide me with much useable information at that time and seemed to be focused on the ductless option. He wrote down a few notes and then said he would have the proposals to us by early the next week. I assumed that the proposals would contain more details about the various options we talked about. We never heard back from him. After 2 weeks we were still interested in getting the proposals so I called the office. The receptionist looked up the information and confirmed that Chris had been out to our house. She said she would "shoot" him an e-mail asking him to resend the bids. We received nothing. No sure why a company would ignore an honest request for proposals but I won't consider them again for any other work that we might need.

Took the 5 visits. One, to diagnose. Two, to replace part. Three, fix part installation. Four, fix furnace This one they charged for a house call. Five, head service manager came out to inspect work. Said we should be reimbursed for charges. We were not. Never again will.we.hire rhem.

Matthew was our technician for our duct cleaning and HVAC maintenance. He arrived within the timeframe stated. He was very professional and explained the work and process in detail prior to getting started. We also confirmed the total cost for all of our vents and the maintenance service before he started, which I appreciated so we were on the same page and there were no surprises. The service took just over 9 hours (he did stop for lunch), which is the longest I've ever experienced for a duct cleaning, but it was definitely thorough and done well. Matthew was very conscientious and respectful of our home and using his tools, ladders, etc. We used the Angie's List coupon, which helped with the overall cost. I would highly recommend Associated Heating and Air. They had the best price of all the others we explored, and they were the most responsive as far as customer service and scheduling. Overall a great experience all around. We will definitely use again for our HVAC system.

Very well. Tobin, along with Sam and Kelly did a great job and addressed all of my concerns. Also, Kris did a good job sizing the system. We're very happy with the system and installation of it.

The work crew came at the expected time, and worked through a cold day in the garage to finish all the installation and duct checking and modification. Very happy with the explanations as to what was done and the clean installation sheet metal work and piping. The construction trash was all cleaned up and tidy at the end of the day. Very satisfied. After the service was done, the salesperson noticed that some expected work did not need to be done, so the company refunded some of the money I had paid, without me asking for a refund.

I’ve used their services twice and have been very satisfied. On the service call, the technician figured out the problem in about 30 seconds and had the furnace running fine within 30 minutes. I’m very happy with Associated Heating.

The staff were friendly and fast. The project was completed within the time frame they stated.

We had 7 different companies come out and give us a bid. Associated was the most informational and professional. They also came in with the lowest bid. We were very happy with their work.

The first planned install date had to be changed by me; they accommodated my needs perfectly. Then on the updated date for installation, which due to the size of the job would be all day, they arrived on time and ready to do the job. The crew was fantastic. First, they listened to my concerns about what I specifically wanted and my concerns about having the system be aesthetically pleasing to look at. The lead man, Ken, was very meticulous and had the same vision as me. During the process he checked back with me about placement of one of the "heads" to verify we were on the same page. During the install the electrician who was doing the wiring discovered a minor issue in the electrical panel. While he could have ignored it as it didn't pose any real danger, he pointed it out to me and asked if I'd like him to correct it (no additional charge). That attention to detail shows me this company, and their employees, are of absolute top quality. After the install was complete the lead man walked me through the system showing me what had been done and how the system works. About 8 hours after arriving they departed with the job complete. As I walked around afterwards I was amazed how spotless everything was - there was not one speck of debris left over and the only sign they had been here was my new ductless system. There is absolutely no question that I would hire this company, this crew in particular, for any heating and/or cooling needs. This is a top-rate company!!!

The tech was very nice and seemed to do a good job. I was not real thrilled with the scheduling dept. I think they could make a better effort than a 6 hour window.
